In the Two Point Museum, gamers are granted the chance to manage multiple thriving businesses. Achieving such success isn’t solely about arranging decorations, displays, and guest services; it also involves fostering a contented and collaborative team in this engaging sandbox game.
Maintaining staff contentment with their roles is vital for a successful museum operation, as it contributes to profitability. Here are some strategies to ensure your team remains satisfied at the Two Point Museum, thereby reducing turnover and ensuring you always have enough hands on deck.
How To Increase Staff Happiness in Two Point Museum
As a museum enthusiast, I can’t help but emphasize the importance of not just satisfying our visitors with your museum’s captivating exhibits and engaging interactive features, but also ensuring the happiness and well-being of your team members. Neglecting this aspect might lead to the need for repeated hiring and training processes.
Fortunately, the game is designed to be quite intuitive in detecting potential issues. However, it’s crucial to be vigilant, particularly when it comes to monitoring the emotional state and job satisfaction of your staff. After all, a content team equals a thriving museum!
Satisfy Hunger and Thirst Needs
Workers who feel hungry or thirsty may struggle to focus and be content with their work if they are left unattended for extended periods. A visual indicator such as a water or food icon may appear above them when they’re experiencing these issues, but you can also monitor their hunger and thirst levels by selecting the employee and examining their personal profile.
Managing hunger and thirst is quite straightforward. Just grasp the employee by clicking and holding them, followed by moving them towards a water or food supply – simply drag them to a watering hole or dining area. To ensure everyone’s needs are met, consider setting up a buffet table and a water cooler in the break room, allowing employees to relax, eat, and hydrate all at once.
Allow Them To Rest When Tired
If you notice a lightning bolt icon over an employee and they seem to slow down, it signals that they are extremely tired and require some time off. To help them recharge, players should motivate their team members to take a break. This can be achieved by lifting the employee and positioning them near a bench, chair, or any seating area, allowing them to relax and recover.
Enhance the Staff Room to recharge your team members’ happiness levels. Furnish it with necessary facilities and embellish it with attractive decorations. Fill it with amenities such as comfortable seating, a well-stocked kitchenette, and perhaps even a small library or game area. This will allow employees to take breaks, relax, eat, drink, and rest whenever they need to, thereby increasing their contentment and readiness to return to work when fully rejuvenated.
Relieve Toilet Discomfort
It’s preferable that team members handle such matters independently, but occasionally you might notice some employees requiring bathroom breaks due to being engrossed in duties like guiding tours, selling tickets, or performing other demanding tasks. This issue can be quickly recognized and its solution is straightforward.
To alleviate any bathroom discomfort, kindly escort the team member to the restroom. They’ll instinctively locate an empty stall, take care of their discomfort, and then resume their duties.
Train Them To Learn New Skills
If employees meet all the criteria for physical work satisfaction but lack chances for career advancement or learning opportunities, they might still feel discontented with their jobs. Indications of such longing for growth are like book symbols floating above their heads, suggesting they yearn for education and skill development.
To educate your staff, just follow these simple steps: Navigate to the training section, choose the appropriate team member, and assign them a new ability to master. While this temporarily diverts them from their regular duties, they’ll return with a new expertise that can be beneficial for overcoming any obstacles your museum might encounter in the future.
Employees receive a new training slot for every five levels of progression.
Increase Their Pay
One potential challenge for players may be addressing pay dissatisfaction among employees. Long-serving staff and those who have acquired new skills might feel entitled to higher compensation due to their loyalty towards the business. However, granting too many salary increases could impact the company’s profitability. This situation can signal that either there are too many staff members or that improvements need to be made to enhance the museum’s appeal, thereby increasing its revenue.
To keep track of their staff’s contentment regarding wages, players can navigate to the Staff or Finances section located at the bottom of the screen within Management. Here, they can either select individual staff members or click on the overall staff listing. A facial expression representing satisfaction will be displayed beside each team member’s salary, ranging from a red face indicating dissatisfaction to a dark-green face symbolizing happiness.
To adjust their pay, players can simply drag the bar along the salary amount until they reach the desired figure and then click the green checkmark to confirm. Alternatively, they can opt for the “Meet All Requests” button in the Staff menu, which will grant a fair pay rise to all staff members based on the satisfaction scale.
What To Do When An Employee Threatens To Quit in Two Point Museum
If employees are left alone for extended periods, they may accumulate unfavorable statuses, leading to frustration. Once frustrated enough, they might consider quitting their position. This can be identified by a timer appearing over their head, giving you two minutes to soothe them. To understand the issues they’re facing, players can click on the employee to view the troublesome circumstances.
In essence, the primary cause of an employee’s problem often lies in feelings of hunger, thirst, fatigue, and discomfort related to needing to use the restroom. Therefore, your initial action should be to lead them directly to the Staff Room where they can eat, drink, and rest. Afterward, guide them to the bathroom to resolve any toilet-related concerns. Once these needs are addressed, the employee should feel more composed and inclined to remain. However, it’s crucial to verify their contentment regarding pay and training to prevent possible future dissatisfaction leading to resignation. In summary, maintaining an employee’s loyalty involves addressing all factors that contribute to their happiness and regularly monitoring shifts in mood and satisfaction levels.
