Stardew Valley’s Quest Board Stars: The Secret to Winning Big!

In Stardew Valley, although it may seem like just a straightforward farming game, its creator ConcernedApe has incorporated a multitude of Quests that elevate the adventure beyond mere crop cultivation and animal rearing. Within this digital farmland, players encounter two categories of quests: Story quests and Help Wanted quests.

In Stardew Valley, you’ll find Help Wanted tasks posted on the notice board outside the General Store in Pelican Town. These side quests provide an excellent opportunity to earn additional money and strengthen your bonds with the villagers. With the version 1.6 update, the Help Wanted board has been enhanced with a small star counter located at its top left corner.

What Do The Help Wanted Quest Board Stars Mean?

On the upper-left corner of the Help Wanted board, you’ll find a tally of three symbols, which are often mistaken for difficulty ratings. However, these symbols serve a different purpose – they function as a counter, tracking your progress towards earning Prize Tickets. This feature was introduced in the 1.6 update.

Each time you finish a “Help Wanted” task from the board, you gain one star. When you accumulate three stars, the following quest on the board will grant you a Prize Ticket upon completion. After claiming your prize, the star counter reverts back to zero.

Due to the ability to work on several quests simultaneously, it may not always be clear when you’re on the verge of earning a Prize Ticket. To help keep track more easily, concentrate on completing quests one by one.

What Are Prize Tickets in Stardew Valley?

In Stardew Valley, Prize Tickets serve as a unique form of currency that you can exchange for desirable prizes from the vending machine situated within Mayor Lewis’ residence. This machine offers an assortment of valuable prizes, such as seeds, artifacts, crafting resources, and even scarce items like…

In advance, the Prize Machine displays the next three rewards to come up, allowing for thoughtful decision-making. However, beyond the initial 22 prizes, the machine rotates through a selection of 9 different potential rewards.

In addition to finishing “Help Wanted” tasks, you can gather Prize Tickets in Stardew Valley by accomplishing Special Orders, which are tougher assignments that you unlock during your first autumn. Additionally, taking part and winning the Egg Festival and the Festival of Ice multiple times will also yield Prize Tickets. At the fair in Stardew Valley, you can purchase Prize Tickets for 1,000 Star tokens each.
