How to get First Aid Meds in Monster Hunter Wilds

Glancing at your collection of Crafting items, you’ll spot three healing options: Potion, Mega Potion, and First-aid Med+. Acquiring the first two should be straightforward, however, producing the elusive First Aid Med can sometimes be challenging within Monster Hunter Wilds. Let me help you learn how to obtain a First Aid Med.

Where to find First Aid Meds in Monster Hunter Wilds

For your First Aid Kit, you’ll need Honey and a pre-made vial of First-aid Med+. At first, I was taken aback because it appeared that obtaining this potion during free roam wasn’t possible. However, the First Aid Med can only be obtained during a quest, where you’ll receive a Supply Item right at the beginning. Similar to previous Monster Hunter versions, it remains a quest-exclusive item, meaning that once the mission is complete, it will no longer be available.

At the start of the game, the quest usually alerts you about the Secret Pouch, where you can access your Supply Items. Using this pouch, you can move the First Aid Med into it to discover a new method for self-healing. This healing is modest, comparable to using a Potion. During missions, you’ll be able to manufacture more First Aid Meds with Honey, which is abundant across the map, making it easy for you to find and use.

Even though the game has limited First Aid Meds at first, it tends to resupply them when you begin a new task. Yet, not all quests guarantee this specific item. To ensure you’re prepared, consider carrying Potions or Mega Potions instead. These healing items are crafted using Herbs, which can be found in every region.

As a fan, I’d highly recommend prioritizing the Mega Potion for your healing needs since it provides more restoration than standard First Aid Meds and regular Potions. Whenever you find yourself needing just a minor health increase or running low on other rejuvenating supplies, then opt for the First Aid Meds instead.
