Hammer and Tongs Task Walkthrough
In the new region called Kuttenberg, players can embark on various tasks and missions as they get acquainted with the place. One of the initial spots they might examine is Grund, which offers a couple of quests. Among these is a blacksmithing contest. To initiate this event, players should converse with Blacksmith Zdimir, who resides in the northern part of Grund.
Talk to Blacksmith Zdimir

Approach Blacksmith Zdimir and inquire about any recent developments at his forge. If you’ve chatted with the Quest Tipster in Grund earlier, you can ask him if there’s anything special about his skilled apprentice. Zdimir will praise Matthias, stating that he’s an exceptionally talented blacksmith. He might even demonstrate a knife crafted by Matthias and boast that he’s the most gifted smith in the area.
Absolutely, Henry accepts the silent competition proposal. The wager is set: Henry and Matthias will showcase their skills in a blacksmith contest, crafting the finest Hunting Sword. Zdimir will serve as the impartial judge. If Henry prevails, he pockets 200 Groschen and takes both swords home.
Forge a Hunting Sword

Contestants need to craft a superior Hunting Sword compared to Matthias’ to emerge victorious. They are allowed to utilize the blacksmith’s forge for this purpose.
Players can take a Quickfinger potion to boost Henry’s Craftsmanship temporarily.

The sword being referred to is known as a “Competition Sword”, but it shares the same components as a “Hunting Sword”. To emerge victorious in the tournament, participants must craft a sword that meets or surpasses a level 3 standard. Once completed, present your creation to Zdimir for appraisal.
Show the Sword to Zdimir

After examining the two weapons, Zdimir will declare Henry as the victor if the sword meets his standards. He’ll reward Henry with the Groschen, but Matthias isn’t eager to part ways with his own weapon. Players can choose to engage in combat with Matthias for control of the sword, or attempt a dialogue skill check instead.

In this scenario, the dialogue check is considered a Moderate Intimidation challenge, which allows players to attempt an intimidating approach if their Intimidation skill is sufficiently high. If not, they may opt for a physical confrontation instead. It’s worth noting that Matthias isn’t excessively formidable, and he will ultimately surrender before Henry manages to take his life.

Speak with him once he surrenders the Tournament Sword, and he’ll pass it on. The players may choose to retain it or trade it for additional Pennies.
