In its current form, “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” is an exceptional game. However, mods have the power to deepen immersion, introduce fresh gameplay experiences, and enhance visuals even more. With official modding support for “KCD2” in development, it’s challenging not to be thrilled about the potential mods that might surface in the future.
Since these modifications for KCD2 can be easily downloaded and managed through the Steam Workshop, they become accessible to a larger number of players, particularly those who prefer not to handle installation files or navigate third-party websites. Here are some potential mod ideas for KCD2 that we hope will see development in the future.
1. Lanterns & Lamps Instead Of Torches
In Reality, Torches Are Very Problematic, Especially Indoors
Navigating through KCD2 during the night requires your torch, essentially it’s indispensable. Walking blindly in the dark could be seen as an offense, but realistically speaking, torches come with their own set of complications. For instance, igniting one would demand a significant amount of effort, and given the predominantly wooden environment in the game world, they could easily pose as a fire hazard due to the large open flames.
In the open air, rain could swiftly extinguish a torch and temporarily blind the torch-bearer due to its brightness. Indoors, the smoke and odor would be unbearable. Consequently, incorporating a mod that allows Henry to carry a lantern or lamp in his adventure would make the game more authentic. Fortunately, lanterns and carrying animations for them are already available within KCD2, as these items are also used by other characters in the game.
2. New Clothing & Armor Options
Some Styles Are Missing & Variations Of Major Characters’ Outfits Would Be Great

In KCD2, Henry has an abundance of clothing and armor to test out, and additional choices via mods certainly add to the experience. Initially, it would be exciting to see some outfits from the initial game reappear in the sequel. For instance, a notable absence includes the Grand Bascinet, jupons, and combat jackets, which were present in the original game.
Beyond that, numerous key characters in KCD2 boast distinctive armor or outfits, and while these can be obtained using console commands, it would be far more satisfying to buy variations of them from retailers or find them among bandit possessions. Adder’s unique aketon, a blend of gambeson and mail, would look fantastic in various hues. Similarly, parts of Jan Zizka’s wardrobe would be equally appealing. Naturally, additional armor and clothing choices would also be delightful, as there are countless historical styles to draw inspiration from.
3. A Game Of Thrones Mod
The Perfect Game To Depict A Realistic Westeros

There are numerous modifications based on “Game of Thrones” for other popular games, and there was even one in production for the original “Kingdom Come: Deliverance.” But with official modding support and tools arriving for “KCD2,” this aspiration might become a reality at last.
In my gaming world, the “A Song of Ice and Fire” saga feels like it’s rooted deeply in the Middle Ages. The realm of Westeros seems strikingly similar to late medieval Europe. That’s why I think Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 could be a fantastic fit for a “Game of Thrones” mod. This mod could start with just adding armor, swords, and banners from the series, or maybe even progress to a more extensive overhaul in the future.
4. More Haircuts
More Style Is Always Better

As a fan, I’m eagerly anticipating my newfound skill to trim Henry’s hair, thanks to Warhorse’s diverse array of hairstyles and beards they’ve made available. But you know what they say: variety is the spice of life! Officially created mods for KCD2 could open up even more options, making my hairdressing adventure all the more exciting!
As a gamer, I can’t wait to customize my character, Henry, with some awesome new looks! Here are a few styles I’d love to see: A sharp buzz cut, a quirky bowl cut like Dry Devil’s, a monk-like tonsure, larger beards, and, of course, a magnificent mustache reminiscent of Jan Zizka’s. Plus, with more options available, players will have the chance to create their own unique version of Henry. And for those who want to get really creative, how about the ability to change Henry’s hair color too? Let’s bring these ideas to life!
5. Church Interiors
One Of The Biggest Absences

In the initial “Kingdom Come: Deliverance” game, the interior designs of churches left a significant impression on numerous fans due to their elaborate, colorful walls adorned with depictions of well-known stories or figures. Regrettably, in the subsequent installment, players have limited access to churches, only being able to enter a few chapel rooms.
Although it’s regrettable – particularly for the grand churches in Kuttenberg – tough decisions were necessary during the creation of this masterpiece. Yet, with time, these issues might be addressed by dedicated modders who share a passion for medieval history. If that doesn’t happen, players will still have the chance to delve into the expansive Sedletz monastery through the Mysteria Ecclesia DLC expansion.
6. Third Person Mode
A Different Way To Experience KCD2

In the “Kingdom Come: Deliverance” series, the first-person perspective camera effectively enhances the sense of immersion, particularly during activities like sword fights, archery, and crafting, which encompasses skills such as alchemy and blacksmithing.
Some gamers might prefer exploring medieval Bohemia from a third-person perspective instead of the first-person view. This option could offer a more immersive experience with Henry, as players would be able to observe him more closely. While certain mods in both games have provided this to some extent, having a well-crafted, easily accessible third-person mode mod for KCD2 on Steam Workshop would greatly enhance the gameplay experience.
