Gears of War Collection Will Feature Co-Op But No PvP, Insider Claims

Based on trusted information from an inside source, it’s been confirmed that the Gears of War collection won’t offer Player versus Player (PvP) games, but instead, it will focus on campaign cooperative gameplay.

The detective, Detective Seeds, recently disclosed new details about the upcoming Gears of War collection on X. According to their post, it appears that the game has been added to the backend of the PlayStation Store, suggesting that fresh information about it has emerged. The leak claims that the game is set to launch in mid-2025 (August) and will not offer multiplayer PvP content; instead, it will solely focus on the campaign mode. Now, a trusted source has confirmed that the Gears of War collection indeed won’t feature multiplayer PvP.

Later on X, Jez Corden shared information about the multiplayer aspect of the Gears of War Collection. In his latest post on X, Corden mentioned, “I’ve also heard nothing regarding multiplayer.” When asked if the collection will feature campaign co-op, he confirmed, “Yes, there’s co-op, but it seems that PvP is not included.” Currently, Jez Corden is investigating the rumors surrounding the Gears collection to get more definite information.

In his latest YouTube upload, the leaker known as eXtas1s disclosed certain aspects regarding the upcoming Gears of War Collection and E-Day. He claims that the unveiling of the Gears of War Collection is set for this year’s Xbox Showcase, and it will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC from its release date. Furthermore, eXtas1s hinted at a potential reveal for Gears of War E-Day in 2026, though he mentioned that there is a small possibility it could be moved up to 2025.
