How to Increase Your Inventory Space in Sugardew Island

Among the challenges I encountered when starting on Sugardew Island, similar to many other farming simulations, was the insufficient storage capacity. In the beginning stages, it becomes a struggle to manage what and how much you carry, as there’s only space for a few seeds, tools, and maybe some energy snacks for continuous work throughout the day. However, once your backpack is full, you find yourself in a predicament. Essentially, you’ll have to wait until you figure out how to expand your inventory on Sugardew Island!

How to Upgrade Your Backpack in Sugardew Island

In the early stages and even generally, the solution is Tomte. To begin with, it requires around 2,500 Sugardew for your initial inventory enhancement on Sugardew Island. Following this, be prepared to spend more. The second backpack upgrade comes at a cost of 20,000 Sugardew – quite an amount that’ll take you a substantial period, or in simpler terms, a considerable amount of time, to gather.

As a gamer, I’ve found that every time I upgrade my inventory in this game, it adds a new row, giving me just a bit more space. It may seem insignificant at first, but over time, each extra square really does make a difference. Now, I’ve got plenty of room to store all those crops, resources, and random items I find scattered across the ground!

How to Afford the Inventory Space Expansion in Sugardew Island

With only six compartments in your pack at the outset, it’s essential you consider enlarging your baggage capacity early on. The initial upgrade doubles your space to a maximum of 12 compartments, while the subsequent expansion takes it up to a total of 18 compartments. Aim for that larger capacity!

To earn the money necessary:

  • Sell just about everything you can get your hands on, from materials like weeds and rocks to harvestable crops such as corn and cucumbers.
  • When investing in new crops to plant and nourish, opt for those that produce multiple harvests, such as corn, which you can gather numerous times before the plant dies.
  • While we recommend that you eventually buy fertilizer, start by focusing on vegetable seeds. They offer more bang for your buck in the beginning!
