In the game ‘Monster Hunter Wilds‘, there’s an abundance of resources for players to gather, which they can use to enhance their items and equipment. These resources can be found in various locations throughout the game world, while others are quite rare and only obtainable under specific conditions. It’s beneficial to accumulate these resources as they each have unique uses. However, this also means that some materials may require players to strategize and learn when and how to acquire them, like the elusive ‘Monster Broth’.
In a seemingly strange term for a soup, Monster Broth serves a crucial role in the game by helping create top-notch gear. However, acquiring it isn’t straightforward as it becomes accessible only towards the later stages of the game. Similar to other materials within the game, there are specific quests that grant players Monster Broth as a reward. This guide aims not only to highlight which quests offer Monster Broth, but also suggest what items can be crafted using this valuable resource.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Monster Broth Location
In selected Heroic (HR) missions within the game, you’ll find it easier to obtain the Monster Broth. Players will need to progress far enough into the game to access these missions, and Monster Broth will serve as a reward beginning from 4-Star quests.
Here are all the quests that will reward Monster Broth:
- Time to Exorcise
- Vespoid Capriccio
- Flower of Eternal Rest
- Smithy’s Seal of Quality
- Fur Damagings Are Dislikeworthy
- Scorching the Earth Once More
- Sinister Sneer
- Dream Eaters
- The Nerscylla’s Hunting Grounds
- Thundering Flowers
- Opposition
- Astonishing Adaptability
- Investigating the Frenzied Shadow
Further, Monster Broth can be carved from hunting some high-rank monsters in the game as well:
- Lala Barina (18% chance of reward)
- Bulaqchi (30% from dropped materials)
- Vespoid (20% from dropped materials, 23% from carving)
- Nerscylla Hatchling (100% from carving)
- Comaqchi (30% from dropped materials)
In this list, Nespoids are likely to be the most straightforward creatures to hunt down. These tiny, insect-like monsters can be easily defeated with suitable weapons in just a few strikes. Although the probability of obtaining Monster Broth from their dropped materials and carving isn’t as high compared to other options, the speed at which they can be defeated makes it more efficient to reload and hunt them again rather than pursuing other monsters.
In summary, it’s worth mentioning that Monster Broth can also be acquired by trading with Rove, who resides in the Iceshard Cliffs region of the game. Players have the option to trade him one Chaliceweed in return for two Monster Broth items.
