My initial mission was to locate her quickly, as this would lead to an encounter with a Pompopolo, a common monster that roams these parts. It’s wise to carry some antidotes for poison and a weapon effective against water-based foes, but not one that inflicts poison itself. Once prepared, you can either follow the game’s suggested route or make a beeline for Area 10, nestled in the northwestern corner of the middle layer on the map.

Reaching this location initiates a battle with the monster, successfully defeating it will subsequently lead to a scene where you rescue Maki and escort her back into town.

Where To Find Maki In Town In Monster Hunter Wilds

In addition to the primary mission, there are some optional tasks that will guide you to locate Maki within the town. She may roam in various locations initially, but it’s most effective to begin your search at Azuz, also known as Everforge, which can be easily reached via fast-travel. If you notice all the villages congregated together, she can typically be found on the northern side of this gathering area.

Beyond the main objective where you need to find her, there are some optional tasks that will help you locate Maki in town. She may move around several areas at first, but it’s best to start your search at Azuz, or Everforge, a location easily accessible via fast-travel. If she isn’t in Everforge, head up the stairs and make your way towards the northern part of town. You’ll find her conversing with Yabran who’s settled on a rock in this area. Notably, Yabran is an item trader and he stands out with a symbol above his head and a marker on the map, making them both easily identifiable.
