One Piece Volume 111 Makes Corrections to The Manga

Gear 4 was Changed To Gear 3, and Missing Details Were Added

The ongoing series “One Piece” spans more than 1100 chapters, an impressive feat that requires immense dedication from its creator, Eiichiro Oda. Maintaining such a lengthy project with a demanding workload is no small task, but it’s clear that Eiichiro Oda is giving it his all.

In the Elbaf arc of One Piece, as fans were reading the weekly chapter releases, they noticed some inconsistencies. For instance, characters would sometimes be shown without weapons that they had carried in previous frames. These discrepancies might not have been significant to everyone, but some viewers felt it was a sign of carelessness on Oda’s part regarding details.

The main point is that a seemingly unimportant missing weapon for the character isn’t an issue, but fans were confused about Luffy using what appeared to be Gear 4 when he actually used Gear 3. Some fans speculated it might be a new application of Gear 4, while others thought it could have been a mistake. The illustration of Luffy using this form was corrected in Volume 111 and changed back to show Gear 3 instead.

Luffy’s missing axe in this same panel was also fixed, and it was added where it was missing.

Many One Piece fans are quick to point out small mistakes in the manga chapters whenever they appear, but they’re often not that big, and one can easily tell that it’s just due to rushed schedules. In addition, it’s almost always fixed with the release of the volume, so it really is no big issue, and many fans need to cut slack on Oda, who is very overworked as is. The fact Oda has been releasing chapters weekly for almost 3 decades is no easy achievement.
