As a lover of both, I was eagerly anticipating that this Secret Lair would leverage the widespread appeal of internet memes. To your delight, it certainly lived up to expectations!

Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about Magic: the Gathering resembling Fortnite more, but honestly, I can’t think of a better approach for a SpongeBob SquarePants themed release. What’s more, it appears that the design team aimed to have fun with this project. For instance, they creatively used the iconic SpongeBob mocking meme in a reimagined version of Counterspell. If I were still competing, I’d definitely be eager to protect my deck with those cards!
The SpongeBob SquarePants Secret Lair assortment is set to hit the shelves on March 24th at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time, exclusively on MagicSecretLair.com. Each collection will retail for $29.99 for standard cards and $39.99 for foil editions. Unlike some of the recent Universes Beyond releases that offer complete set sales, these items are a limited stock.
