In Patch 11.1.5, World of Warcraft is incorporating several factions from the expansion Shadowlands, such as the Ascended, the Undying Army, the Court of Harvesters, and the Wild Hunt, into its list of Warband reputations. Notably, the main Covenants from Shadowlands are not part of this update. However, most other factions from this expansion in World of Warcraft will soon be accessible under a single account.

In preparation for the pre-launch of “The War Within”, World of Warcraft implemented a new feature called Warbands. This system was touted as “all-encompassing at account level”. A significant aspect of this feature is that, from then onwards, most reputations would be accessible across all characters within an account. Additionally, many Dragonflight factions were incorporated into this system initially, with Blizzard’s intention to retroactively make more legacy factions shareable among the Warband in the future.

It appears that Blizzard is gearing up to incorporate a significant amount of reputations into the Warbands system in World of Warcraft. They recently unveiled patch 11.1.5, the upcoming content update for The War Within, which is currently being tested on the Public Test Realm. On these servers, most reputation factions from Shadowlands, such as the Ascended, Undying Army, Court of Harvesters, The Wild Hunt, Ve’nari Maw, and both The Archivist’s Codex and The Enlightened from patches 9.1 and 9.2 respectively, are now being pooled across accounts.

To clarify, the following Shadowlands factions – Kyrian, Necrolord, Night Fae, and Venthyr – are not on this list due to their unique Renown system. Unlike contemporary factions in World of Warcraft like the Cartels of Undermine, these factions use an older version of Renown that isn’t based on reputation. This makes it more challenging to share between characters. However, once you’ve achieved maximum Renown with a Covenant on one character, most faction-exclusive rewards can be used by any alternate characters, regardless of their current Covenant. So, while there are differences, it shouldn’t present significant issues for the majority of players.

In the game Shadowlands, several currencies can be moved around using the Warbands system. However, World of Warcraft is planning to make Stygia, the primary currency from the Maw, shareable too. Additionally, some Battle for Azeroth currencies like Prismatic Manapearls, Coalescing Visions, and Echoes of Ny’alotha will also become transferable with Patch 11.1.5.

In their ongoing endeavor, World of Warcraft aims to unify a significant number of reputations across its Warband as much as feasible. Although fans might not witness factions from Wrath of the Lich King, The Burning Crusade, or even classic WoW expanded in this manner immediately, they are eagerly anticipating Blizzard’s progress in the upcoming update.
