In the lead-up to the Repentance update for Guild Wars 2, a series of Twitch Drops have been unveiled as a celebration. These include the Mini Lion Cub, Fuzzy Panda Hat set, and an expansion for bag slots. By tuning in to five hours of Guild Wars 2 streaming on Twitch from March 11 to 16, fans can acquire these cosmetics, consumables, and account enhancements without needing to play the game directly.
Lately, “Guild Wars 2” unveiled Repentance, which is the second significant update of the Janthir Wilds expansion. This update introduces the Wayfinder to the Mistburned Barrens, a location housing the ancient Mursaat ruins of Bava Nisos. The narrative resumes here, picking up where it ended after the Titan’s downfall in “Guild Wars 2″‘s Godspawn update.
To get players ready for this challenging adventure, Guild Wars 2 has unveiled some fantastic items that can be obtained without logging in. A new Twitch Drop campaign to commemorate the content update of the Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds expansion is about to start on March 11, coinciding with the release of Repentance. From then until March 16, fans can watch up to five hours of any Guild Wars 2 streamers on Twitch to earn the Lion Cub miniature, the Fuzzy Panda Hat bundle, and an inventory upgrade that allows a single character’s bag to expand.
How to Get Guild Wars 2 Repentance Twitch Drops
- Connect one’s Guild Wars 2 and Twitch accounts
- Watch any streamers in the Guild Wars 2 category on Twitch from March 11 at 9 AM PT through March 16 at 11:59 PM PT to earn the following cosmetics and in-game items:
- 1.5 hours: Mini Lion Cub
- 3.5 hours: Fuzzy Panda Hat, Upgrade Extractor, 2x Heroic Boosters
- 5 hours: Bag Slot Expansion
- Once complete, claim the rewards from the Twitch Drops inventory.
- Items will be sent via in-game mail upon the next login.
As a dedicated Guild Wars 2 player, I’ve found myself eyeing two intriguing items from the Gem Store – the Mini Lion Cub and the Fuzzy Panda Hat. These were either obtainable for 400 and 200 Gems individually or through Black Lion Statuettes and similar deals. The Bag Expansions, priced at 400 Gems apiece, are a lifesaver for my character, offering precious extra bag space in Guild Wars 2. When you consider the $5 price tag for 400 gems, add in the two Heroic Boosters and Upgrade Extractor that come with the Fuzzy Panda Hat bundle, these Twitch Drops essentially cost around $15 – quite a bargain if you ask me!
Even though participants require ownership of Janthir Wilds to explore Mistburned Barrens fully during the Repentance update, they can still claim Twitch Drops without it. However, buying the Guild Wars 2 expansion offers several advantages: it provides a Homestead, access to seasonal rewards in the Wizard’s Vault, and allows travel to zones beyond Janthir Wilds, including the Godspawn and Repentance updates. Given these benefits, players may want to consider purchasing the expansion package for an enhanced gaming experience.
