5. Zenitsu vs Kaigaku

In the “Infinity Castle” storyline of “Demon Slayer,” Zenitsu encounters his ex-comrade in the Infinity Castle. Both of them had been taught Thunder Breathing by the same master, Jigoro Kuwajima, who was once the Thunder Hashira. Unfortunately, Kaigaku turned against the Demon Slayers and joined forces with the demons.

After discovering that his former mentor had transformed into a demon, indirectly leading to the master’s death, Zenitsu felt an overwhelming sense of despair and took his own life through Seppuku. However, this fight between Zenitsu and Kaigaku didn’t last long as Zenitsu, utilizing his Kaigaku-defeating skills, swiftly ended the battle with a single powerful blow – the Seventh Form: Honoikazuchi no Kami, a technique he personally developed, which resulted in Kaigaku’s decapitation.

4. Giyu and Tanjiro vs Akaza

Among the elite demons, it’s Akaza, the Upper Rank 3 Demon, who steals the show, particularly during the Infinity Castle Arc of Demon Slayer. This demon engages in a fierce battle with not one but two formidable Demon Slayers: Giyu, the Water Hashira, and Tanjiro. Akaza’s hand-to-hand combat skills make him a formidable adversary. The fact that Akaza has Rengoku’s blood on his hands only fuels Tanjiro’s resolve to defeat this demon. Both Giyu and Tanjiro found themselves in a tough fight against him.

Contrary to most demons, Akaza retained much of his human qualities. Unlike other demons, he wasn’t defeated by the Demon Slayers, even though Tanjiro had succeeded in beheading him. Such was Akaza’s strength that he was able to regrow his head. He continued battling until a memory of his wife flooded back to him, causing him to choose self-destruction instead. This made his defeat essentially a suicide, allowing Tanjiro and Giyu the opportunity to progress and fulfill their mission.

3. Demon Slayers vs Muzan

The climactic battle that everyone had been eagerly anticipating in the anime “Demon Slayer” was between Muzan and the Demon Slayers. The outcome of this confrontation would determine the destiny of the Demon Slayer realm. Many Demon Slayers participated, with key figures being five members of the Hashira: Gyomei, Sanemi, Mitsuri, Giyu, and Obanai, along with Tanjiro.

To defeat Muzan, the only option was to hold him off until dawn because decapitating him was futile given his unparalleled regeneration among all demons known. Muzan clearly deserved his title as the Demon King, and this wasn’t even considering the drug Tamayo and Shinobu had crafted to weaken him. In the end, it was a close call for the Slayers, and when dawn came, Muzan disintegrated under the sun’s light, causing heavy casualties among the Hashira and other Demon Slayers.

2. Sanemi, Gyomei, Muichiro, Genya vs Kokushibo

The battle between the Demon Slayer and the Upper Rank 1 Demon Kokushibo is among the most unforgettable encounters. Initially, it’s Muichiro who faces the demon, an interesting twist as the demon turns out to be one of his ancestral lineage.

It’s no shock that this demon is too formidable for any single Demon Slayer. Despite Genya’s attempts to aid Muichiro, he falls short, but Sanemi steps up to the challenge. Yet, even with their combined efforts, they fail to hold back Kokushibo, necessitating Gyomei’s intervention. With such immense power, vanquishing this Demon proves challenging. It is only through Genya consuming a fragment of Kokushibo’s sword and Muichiro turning his blade crimson that the demon can be temporarily subdued. Regrettably, both Muichiro and Genya succumb to their injuries in this battle.

1. Shinobu, Inosuke, and Kanao vs Doma

Among the thrilling battles that unfold in the final arcs of “Demon Slayer,” none captivated me more than the one where the valiant Demon Slayers squared off against the formidable Upper Rank 2 demon, Doma!

The battle commences with just Shinobu facing off against Doma. Despite being outmatched by this demon, she manages to keep up impressively. However, Doma eventually gets the upper hand and intends to devour her. What Doma fails to comprehend is that Shinobu’s actions are part of a calculated strategy. Kanao and Inosuke step in to continue the fight after Shinobu exits. As the battle rages on, Shinobu’s poison gradually affects Doma. The conflict proves challenging even with this advantage, leading Kanao to employ Vermillion Eyes – a skill known for inducing blindness – to gain the upper hand.

But thanks to the poison, Kanao and Inosuke seized the opportunity to decapitate the demon, thereby avenging all their lost relatives forever.
