7. Kanao Tsuyuri

Shinobu’s Adoptive Sister

Kanao is not only the adopted sibling of Shinobu and Kanae, but she also played a crucial part in the climactic storyline of “Demon Slayer”. Initially, she was a formidable adversary to Upper Rank 2 Demon, Doma, who had tragically taken the lives of her two sisters. Together with Inosuke, she eventually severed his head.

In addition to her current responsibilities, it was also her duty to administer Tanjiro with Shinobu’s transformative medicine and halt Muzan’s resurgence in power.

One often underestimated figure is Nakime. In the climactic part of “Demon Slayer,” her significance cannot be overstated; it’s her Blood Demon Art that constructs and governs the Infinity Castle, serving as the battleground’s foundation. As long as Nakime maintained control, demons held a significant upper hand, for she could instantaneously transport any occupant within the castle at will.

As I watched, her survival offered Muzan a protective veil against the daylight, rendering him invincible under its harsh glare. It was only when she stood tall that he remained untouched by the sun’s destructive power. Yet, it was not until Yushiro seized control of her being that Muzan took her life and ultimately shattered the Infinity Castle.

3. Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho played a crucial role, though indirectly, in the downfall of Muzan as she collaborated with Tamayo to create the Anti-Kibutsuji drug. This drug proved instrumental during the confrontation with Muzan, as its absence might have led to the demise of the Demon Slayers in their battle against him.

Additionally, it was due to Shinobu’s actions that Upper Rank 2 Demon, Doma was defeated. Leaving any of the Upper-Rank Demons active would have posed challenges for the Hashira.

2. Lady Tamayo

Previously, in Demon Slayer’s narrative before the climactic chapter, Lady Tamayo administered a potent substance to Muzan. This drug enabled the Demon Slayers to delay him until dawn.
