Conditions To Find Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

To obtain Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds, you should collect Ephemeral Blossoms. These blossoms only appear during Fallow or Plenty seasons in Windward Plains, and occasionally in Scarlet Forest. However, for efficient resource gathering, focus on Windward Plains and areas near Wind’s Gasp.

Besides this, it’s important to note that the Nightflower Pollen (Ephemeral Blossoms) can only bloom under specific conditions. Specifically, it requires a Full Moon and for it to be nighttime. This must occur during either the season of Plenty or Fallow for the Ephemeral Blossoms to appear. When these conditions align, you’ll receive an in-game alert notifying you of the blooming Ephemeral Blossoms.

In contrast, merely altering the time to night won’t magically cause the Ephemeral Blossoms to appear. Instead, you need to ensure that the climate is suitable and the moon is in the Waxing Gibbous phase, which is just before it becomes full. While you can adjust the time of day and weather conditions, your best bet is to aim for conditions as close as possible to a full moon.

How To Get Ephemeral Blossoms (Nightflower Pollen)?

Follow these steps to adjust the time and weather conditions so as to create a full moon and trigger the appearance of Ephemeral Blossoms:

2. Adjust the weather conditions in the game.
3. Wait for the moon phase to become full.
4. Implement the Ephemeral Blossoms by forcing their spawn.

  • Rest at one of the Pop-up Camps in the Plains (we recommend the Oasis Pop-up Camp).
  • Change the time to Evening and the weather to Plenty.
  • Once the time is changed, head north from the Pop-up Camp toward the Desert.
  • Look for the moon in the sky and wait till it reaches the full moon phase (which can take roughly 1 hour in real-time).

If the full moon phase isn’t reached, return to the Pop-up Camp and adjust the time to Morning, keeping the same weather conditions. Following this, set the time again to Evening.

Keep following this process until you spot a full moon. When the necessary conditions are satisfied, you’ll receive a message about the Ephemeral Blossoms appearing on the screen’s right side. Typically, these blossoms grow close to Area 10 in Windward Plains. You can also monitor their appearance using the game map.

How To Farm Nightflower Pollens?

Back in the last update on March 10th, 2025, I could pick up an Ephemeral Blossom by starting the quest “A Leviathan’s Temper” within the Scarlet Forest. Unfortunately, that feature seems to have been removed from the game. Now, it looks like the best way for me to farm these blossoms is by utilizing the “Oasis Pop-up Camp” trick, as I’ve read about above.

Additionally, our research indicates that some specific investigations known as Arkveld and Balahara may lead to the appearance of Ephemeral Blossoms in Windward Plains. However, it’s important to note that this is not a guaranteed occurrence. If you happen upon an optional investigation that does include the Ephemeral Blossoms, you can store them for later and attempt them again. This method isn’t a way to infinitely farm these resources, but it does increase your chances of collecting at least 4 of them.
