In March of 2025, Update 45 for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) was released on PC and Mac, with a console version set to follow later in the month. This update also marked the release of the Fallen Banners expansion, which includes two new, challenging dungeons to explore and various gameplay enhancements and optimizations aimed at improving player experience, often referred to as Quality-of-Life (QoL) improvements.
The new expansion pack for ESO is currently accessible to those who have an active ESO Plus membership. You can buy this subscription directly from the Crown Store within the game, or through console and PC storefronts. However, ZeniMax Online Studios has hinted at additional methods for acquiring this DLC in the future. As soon as more details are released, we’ll make sure to update our news page accordingly.

In the Lep Seclusa dungeon, players are given the mission to overpower Orpheon the Tactician and his band of deserters. This mission arises after an emperor learns that an Elder Scroll is concealed in this monastery. Inside the gloomy depths of the Exiled Redoubt dungeon, they’ll need to solve the enigmas surrounding the Albus family’s last stronghold and reveal its hidden knowledge to counter the plans of Cato Albus, the family patriarch. They will receive aid from a character making a comeback in their quest.
Clearing these specific dungeons offers numerous rewards such as a fresh monster mask, set of items, and new achievements that can be unlocked based on certain conditions. The “Fallen Banners Scout” achievement is granted upon completing the Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt dungeons, with the Exiled Goldenrod dye being the reward. Completing both dungeons on Veteran difficulty will earn you the Tactician’s Gold Lattice skin and unlock the “Fallen Banners Delver” achievement.
The “Fallen Banners” expansion is out now for both PC and Mac systems, along with Update 45. To access this expansion, you’ll need an ESO Plus membership. For PlayStation and Xbox players, the dungeon DLC won’t be available until March 26th, 2025, when it launches alongside the base game update. This update includes revamped visual designs for starting zones, faster speeds for base mounts, and a tidier Tamriel map UI, among other improvements.
