Saber CCO’s Comments Suggest KOTOR Remake Is Still Coming

Saber CCO’s recent statement hints that Star Wars KOTOR Remake is still in development.

Tim Willits, the Chief Creative Officer at Saber Interactive, recently disclosed some details about the projects they’re currently working on. According to Willits, Saber Interactive is developing multiple games spanning various genres. Although the studio has discussed these games, it’s important to note that all of them are still under active development. This revelation has sparked discussions among fans, who believe that the remake of KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) might still be in progress.

Since its confirmation in 2021, specifics about the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake have remained limited. Recently, Embracer Group has discussed their entire development roster as of May 24, 2023. The lineup included titles such as Tomb Raider (still undecided final name), Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine II, Remnant 2, Ride 5, and the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake.

Information about the Star Wars: KOTOR remake remains vague; no official word has been given by developers yet. Back in 2003, players embarked on an epic journey as part of the Jedi Order, using their mastery of the Force to save the Republic. The original game offered a one-of-a-kind Star Wars RPG experience, featuring distinctive characters, creatures, vehicles, and planets that set it apart from other games in the series.

In KOTOR, players are inspired to master the Force, learning to harness 40 distinct abilities, and craft their very own lightsaber. Along their journey, they’ll visit iconic locations such as Tatooine and the Wookiee homeland, Kashyyyk. Customizable characters can join your team, and within your starship, Ebon Hawk, there are eight vast worlds to discover.
