Summary
- Amouranth received a warning from Twitch for featuring a banned streamer’s voice in a recent vod.
- The stream featured banned streamer Adin Ross.
- Ross has been banned from Twitch since 2023.
Twitch has issued a warning to popular streamer Amouranth. Amouranth is one of the most popular Twitch streamers of all time, having previously earned the title of top female streamer. Amouranth has enjoyed a great deal of success on other platforms as well, becoming a top streamer on Twitch rival Kick.
Despite her success, Amouranth’s content creation career has not been without controversy. In fact, Amouranth has had multiple YouTube channels banned, seemingly for featuring sexual content. Amouranth has also found herself banned from Twitch on numerous occasions, with the latest ban occurring in April 2024 and lasting about a week before her channel was restored.
Amouranth’s Twitch channel may have been at risk of yet another ban, but she received an “account warning” this time instead. As reported by Dexerto, Amouranth hosted a recent stream where she and her husband were interviewed by banned streamer Adin Ross. Twitch issued a warning to Amouranth in response. Amouranth confirmed that the warning was “for having a banned streamer’s voice on my recent vod,” and added, “I appreciate the generous warning and I won’t do that again.” Adin Ross has been banned from Twitch since 2023, but has been one of Kick’s highest-profile stars since that platform’s launch.
Amouranth Gets Warning from Twitch
During a recent conversation, streamer Adin Ross spoke with Amouranth and her spouse about an incident that occurred on March 2nd. In this event, Amouranth was violently assaulted by burglars who seemed intent on stealing her cryptocurrency. However, while she suffered a blow from a pistol, her husband successfully fired at one of the intruders, prompting them to escape.
Amouranth’s Twitch channel remains unbanned at the time of this writing, though the same can’t be said for Adin Ross. Ross has asked Twitch for one more chance, but the live-streaming giant hasn’t budged. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has indicated that he is open to having a conversation with Ross, but it’s unclear if that has ever taken place. For now, Adin Ross remains banned on Twitch with no return date in sight.
Twitch has made some changes to its ban policies that could potentially open the door for an eventual Adin Ross comeback on the platform. The new Twitch ban policies make it so most minor violations fall off after 90 days, while more serious violations last for 1-2 years. “Permanent” Twitch bans, like the one issued to Adin Ross, can be appealed after six months.
