Rogueside Games, a developer from Belgium, has set a release window for the third quarter of this year for their upcoming title, Devil Jam – a rhythm-based auto-battler that immerses players in a heavy metal-themed journey through the underworld. Having made its mark with games like Guns, Gore & Cannoli (released in 2015), its sequel, and the charming hidden-object series Hidden Through Time, Rogueside is now venturing into fresh territory with Devil Jam.

In the game titled “Devil Jam“, players assume the persona of a once-famous musician who’s entered into an agreement with the Devil. This deal sees the protagonist battling hordes of adversaries, navigating their way through the underworld, and ultimately facing off against Death, a renowned metal vocalist in this universe. Preliminary previews suggest that “Devil Jam” shares characteristics reminiscent of “Vampire Survivors” and the acclaimed roguelike game, “Hades“.

Furthermore, the creator has also announced plans for its release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S at a time yet to be determined. This captivating game offers hand-drawn visuals, rhythmic combat that auto-plays, and an intricate 12-slot inventory system with more than 4.93 quadrillion unique inventory combinations.
Devil Jam Platforms and Release Windows
- Steam – Q3 2025
- PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X – TBA
Devil Jam is characterized as a metal-themed, survivor-style game that emphasizes combat based on rhythm. Players, as they progress through waves of adversaries, will delve into a world partially randomized with numerous shrines containing valuable loot. It goes without saying that enthusiasts of games such as Vampire Survivors should certainly keep an eye out for Devil Jam.
Beyond its gameplay system heavily influenced by Vampire Survivors, Devil Jam offers hand-drawn artwork for all characters and effects. This art style of Devil Jam resembles Hades, incorporating sharp character portrait cut-ins similar to visual novels, thereby infusing the design with personality. As the release date for Devil Jam approaches, Rogueside is expected to reveal more details about the game to gamers.
