Satisfactory has shared a new video teaser offering a few glimpses at some of the content arriving as part of its 1.1 patch. The next big Satisfactory update is still waiting for a release date.
Satisfactory was treated to a full-fledged release in mid-September 2024, following five and a half years’ worth of early access. The factory management game has received 14 patches since then. Most of them were limited in scope, focusing on bug fixes and minor improvements rather than adding new content.
Satisfactory developer Coffee Stain Studios has lately also been working on a much bigger update, identified by version number 1.1. On March 14, the Swedish company shared a new teaser showcasing some of the content set to arrive as part of this patch. The 70-second video offers glimpses of several new buildables, including a reinforced cable, a ridged building, and what looks like a garage door wall. A new type of square windows can also be seen in the teaser, together with a more refined belt and pipe system supporting curved construction shapes.
Satisfactory 1.1 Update Bringing Item Counters, Hypertube Junctions, and More
The upcoming Satisfactory update will also seemingly refine the game’s many modes of transportation, with the new teaser showing glimpses of Hypertube junctions and what appears to be some kind of elevator. A dynamic item counter for reading conveyor belt throughput will be part of the package as well, together with vertical splitters and mergers. Coffee Stain Studios’ latest promo video also seems to be hinting at new concrete pillars, stackables, and wall vents, among other novelties.
New Features Showcased in Satisfactory’s 1.1 Update Teaser
- Belt throughput counter
- Conveyor wall holes
- Curved belts and pipes (larger radius)
- Elevators
- Hypertube junctions
- Improved drone pathing
- New beam types (rivets, ridges, circular)
- New pioneer poses
- Shelving/pallets
- Train signals
- Vent decorations
- Vertical splitters
The March 14 teaser ends with the reveal that much of its footage was captured using the in-game photo mode, which is another new Satisfactory feature that’s set to roll out with the 1.1 update. Photo mode is the only 1.1 addition that Coffee Stain Studios has outright confirmed will be part of the upcoming patch so far. The update itself is still without a release date, although the developer previously mentioned it was aiming to launch it in early 2025. Assuming this release window is still valid, the 1.1 version of Satisfactory should materialize no later than April 2025.
In the meantime, the Swedish developer is also still working on Satisfactory‘s console ports, which were originally announced following the game’s 1.0 release in September 2024. More details on the PlayStation and Xbox versions of Satisfactory may emerge after the 1.1 update drops.
