A Destiny 2 fan has given their Guardian an impressive makeover, recreating Marvel’s Carnage. Thanks to the wide variety of gear and shaders available in-game, Destiny 2 players often make new armor sets that stand out for their inventiveness. They are sometimes original ideas, although what makes the headlines the most are the recreations of pop culture characters.

Marvel characters have been recreated multiple times, such as the Destiny 2 player who turned their Guardian into Magneto. The player’s efforts led to an impressive result, due in part to the shaders used. Another Destiny 2 player turned their character into Star-Lord, creating a very similar version of the costume worn by Peter Quill.

This time, Redditor iixVanquishxX went viral by sharing an armor set that turned their Guardian into Marvel’s Carnage. The part of the build that impresses the most is the Navigator’s Rainment Mask, which recreates the face design of the feared Marvel villain with a significant degree of similarity. To compose the rest of the outfit, including the pointed edges, they used Antemic Invocation Vambraces, Mygalomorph Vest, Aphotic Lamellar Strides, and Wild Hunt Cloak. The armor’s colors, reminiscent of the striking red of Cletus Kasady’s symbiote, were achieved by combining the Crucible Horizon, Crucible Carmine, Crucible Alizarin, and Rosescale shaders.

This isn’t the first time the OP has turned heads in the Destiny 2 community with their ideas, having previously shared other sets that received a lot of praise. One example was their Destiny 2 version of Skeletor, bringing the famous Masters of the Universe antagonist and He-Man’s mortal enemy to the game. With the Carnage build, they again received praise from other players, who pointed to the helmet they used as one of the most impressive parts of the set and their favorite.

While the Destiny 2 community continues to exercise its creativity in a wide variety of ways with new armor sets, the developers continue to work to keep the game engaging. Destiny 2‘s Guardian Games returned on March 11, bringing players the 2025 edition of one of the most popular events in Bungie’s shooter. The return of the Guardian Games also coincided with the start of Episode: Heresy Act 2, which added even more content, such as adjustments to seasonal activities, Crucible, dungeons, and raids. Several Hunter and Titan armor pieces, weapons, and skills also got tweaks.
