After spending a year or so as a PS5 exclusive, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth finally reached the PC back on January 25th, 2025. Which meant fans were champing at the bit to mod it in one way or another, be it by tweaking the game’s AI, letting players stack more items, or changing the characters’ looks in a variety of ways.
The FF7 cast are some of the most famous characters in gaming, be it its brooding lead Cloud, grumbling gunner Barret, or Tifa Lockheart, perhaps the most famous bar manager in gaming. She’s certainly famous enough to get a lot of mods, some of which are too savory to mention. But there are plenty of work-safe ways for players to mod Tifa in FF7 Rebirth.
7. Tifa Majestic Glamor Recolor
Brightly Colored for the Beach
- Creator: mariagata.

Going to the Costa del Sol lets the player pick out which beachwear they want the cast to dress in, ranging from swimsuits to tropical shirts. Tifa has a neat ensemble called Majestic Glamor, which combines a knotted shirt with some daisy dukes. It’s a nice enough outfit, though its dour colors make her look more ready for the beaches at Skegness than Costa del Sol.
So, mariagata put together a more tropical set of shades for their Tifa Majestic Glamor Recolor set. Players can pick between a floral orange & green combo, a pink and white mix with flower patterns, or a neat teal design with wave designs for the top. Compared to the gray and black stripes of the default outfit, they provide a feast for the eyes.
6. Purple Dress Tifa
Dressed to Impress
- Creator: SoTotallySora.
- Link: Purple Dress Tifa.
In the original FF7, Tifa famously wore a purple dress while within Don Corneo’s captivity, and (with Aerith’s help) Cloud had to try and outdo that to capture the old creep’s attention. FF7 Remake gave players more choices, but the purple dress made its return as the ‘Mature’ option. Once both served their purpose, they didn’t return for Rebirth or the original’s 2nd and 3rd discs.
If players want to bring it back for Rebirth, they can check out SoTotallySora’s Purple Dress Tifa mod. Players can use it for the whole game, from gameplay battles to cutscenes. But it mods over her default white top and black skirt combo, so they’ll have to choose whether this purple number is worth skipping her classic look for a while.
5. Tifa Prestige Martial Arts
FF7’s Martial Artist Gets Clothes to Match
- Creator: mariagata.
- Link: Tifa- Prestige Martial Arts.
While Cloud swings his sword and Aerith spins her staff, Tifa prefers to go mano-y-mano with her martial arts, using a variety of knuckles to bolster her strikes. It’s been part of her appeal for decades, as she was one of the few female RPG characters who liked to get stuck into the action, rather than taking a passive supporting role like being a healer or mage.
Now, players can compliment her gameplay with mariagata’s Tifa Prestige Martial Arts look, where they can dress the AVALANCHE member up in a neat, white and metallic blue Chinese ensemble. That way, her strikes and Limit Breaks can look more like they came straight from a kung fu flick, or from the Jade Empire sequel fans never got.
4. First Descendant Tifa
Loot and Shoot in a New Suit
- Creators: kazumashiro, mariagata.
- Links: First Descendant Tifa (kazumashiro), Tifa, Yuffie and Aerith- First Descendant Battle Suits (mariagata).
If kung fu outfits aren’t to one’s tastes, they might prefer First Descendant Tifa instead. Based on the so-so looter shooter The First Descendant, it puts Tifa in a techno-futuristic bodysuit that’ll prepare her for any planetary threat, be it FD‘s Vulgus or Rebirth‘s Jenova. That, or like she’s going to join Master Raven in a Tekken game.
It’s not the only mod based on the game either. The one made by kazumashiro only applies to Tifa and comes in black. But mariagata made an alternative version that gives her a white techno suit and comes with orange and pink outfits for Yuffie and Aerith respectively as well. Whichever is one’s fancy, there’s a mod for it.
3. Tifa Advent Children Reborn
2005 Fashion in 2025 Style
- Creator: Ninjagrime.
- Link: Tifa Advent Children Reborn.
It took over 20 years for FF7 to be remade, and even then, Remake and Rebirth only covered the original’s first two discs or so, with the third still in development as of this writing. But it did get a sequel way back in 2005 in the short film FF7: Advent Children. What it lacked in plot it made up for in action scenes, particularly Tifa’s fight against Loz, one of the film’s three main villains.
She also gained a new look in the movie: a black top with a white undershirt, and black shorts under a curious mullet-esque skirt (short at the front, long at the back). Some people even prefer this dark ensemble over her classic look, who’ll be pleased that Ninjagrime had them covered with their handy Tifa Advent Children Reborn mod, which brings back the AC look in style.
2. Tifa 4K Upscaled Textures
Breaking the Limits of Resolution
- Creator: Romi969.
- Link: Tifa 4K Upscaled Textures.
There’s no shortage of different looks for the FF7 Rebirth cast (particularly the women). Though for some, they all matter for naught if they still look average on their monitors or TVs. If they’ve got a 4k screen and a rich supply of RAM among other high-grade features, they might wish the game, or at least its main cast, had the looks to match for that extra visual oomph.
Romi969 certainly must’ve thought so, as they’ve upscaled the model textures, character by character, in their 4K Upscaled Textures series. So far, Cloud, Barret, Aerith, Yuffie and Tifa (the most popular of the set thus far) have had their skin and clothing resolutions boosted up to 4K quality. If players have a 4K monitor and storage space to spare, they can show it off with these mods.
1. New Outfits for All Characters
A Fresh Look for Everyone
- Creator: Gantz79.
- Link: New Outfits for All Characters.
Rebirth lets players pick out their characters’ beachwear. But eventually they must get back into their default togs. Tifa can’t stun people with her Majestic Glamor forever. Not unless players have Gantz79’s New Outfits for All Characters mod. It allows them to swap out the character’s default look with any of their other in-game outfits.
So, Tifa could continue to battle in her beachwear or fully wrap up for the fight in the Midgar Infantry uniform (with or without helmet). All the while being supported by Swim Trunks Cloud, Sailor Barret, and Moogle Hat Yuffie among others. Gantz79 just warns players against installing more than one mod per character at a time, or they could run into errors.
