KCD2 Barber Mode Patch Causes Players to Lose Their Heads Over Style

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 1.2 patch added Barber Mode to the game, allowing players to give Henry a much-needed trim. Despite the update adding eight new incredibly stylish hairstyles, one major problem is proving fatal (literally) for many players. 

In March 13, 2025, Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s massive 1.2 update was released, boasting over a thousand bug fixes and improvements. The most exciting new feature in this update is the Barber Mode, which allows players to give their character, Henry, a stylish makeover.

Having top-notch weapons gives you an advantage in battles, but it’s also crucial to have a striking appearance as well. In essence, why should you defeat your opponents without looking amazingly stylish during the process?

The main issue with KCD 2’s Barber Mode is that it can cause a swift demise if you’re not attentive.

KCD2 Barber Mode can prove lethal

When visiting the barber shops in KCD2 and getting a new haircut won’t result in a gruesome demise (rest assured, there are no Sweeney Todd-like barbers), there is one action that could cause your downfall – you must take off your helmet if you wish to admire Henry’s luxurious mane.

It seems that following the instructions involves rephrasing the given text to make it easier to understand.

This situation can result in some potentially risky outcomes, which I refer to as “dangerous scenarios.” By dangerous scenarios, I mean situations that could lead to fatalities – many fatalities. A brief look at the Reddit page of KCD2 will give you an idea of how serious this problem actually is.

Although the eight new hairstyles in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are so stylish that you’ll be tempted to flaunt Henry’s coiffure regardless of the risks involved, let me tell you, the Minstrel hairdo makes my character look like Jamie Lannister from Game of Thrones – minus the strange sibling dynamics.

Is showing off your fresh fade worth losing your head over? Any medieval knight worth his weight in plundered gold would say otherwise, but can they truly call themselves a knight? What’s the point of getting a haircut if it’s buried beneath all that metal anyway? My Henry looks cool, even in his final moments, and that’s truly all that matters.
