Summary
- Solo Leveling’s second season has exceeded expectations.
- The anime surpassed One Piece in popularity on Crunchyroll.
- A-1 Pictures may be planning up to five seasons for Solo Leveling due to its immense success.
The highly anticipated second season of “Solo Leveling” has been making waves, exceeding fan expectations and solidifying its position as one of the top-tier anime currently airing. When news broke about the upcoming season, there were doubts whether it could surpass the success of the first season.
Not only has it supplanted the preceding season, but it has set the bar extremely high for all action anime. Recently, Solo Leveling surpassed Demon Slayer to become the second most popular anime on Crunchyroll. After the release of Season 2 Episode 11, the anime leapfrogged One Piece to become the most famous anime on Crunchyroll.
Solo Leveling Overtakes One Piece On Crunchyroll
This is a major milestone for Solo Leveling, especially since One Piece has been airing for more than two decades. However, it would be remiss not to mention that One Piece has more than 1100 episodes while Solo Leveling has a little more than 20. So more people are likely to start and catch up to Solo Leveling than One Piece.
Several Solo Leveling episodes have also broken the record of reaching 100,000 likes in the shortest time possible. Currently, the record is held by Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 11, which featured the debut of the Ant King. It was the first episode that featured the deaths of many S-rank Hunters. The Hunters being slaughtered ruthlessly added to the tension.
Solo Leveling Season 2 is listed with 13 episodes. The studio has no plans to make a special episode for the season finale. Instead, it will just be a regular episode. The new season covers the Jeju Island arc, which many consider one of the best arcs in the entire series. The arc is full of action and encapsulates everything that Solo Leveling stands for, which is why it is so highly rated by the audience.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Could Be Announced Soon

With Solo Leveling’s second season performing so well, there are already rumors of a third season being in the works. In fact, there is speculation about the anime being picked up for five seasons, and frankly, it wouldn’t be surprising if that were the case. For now, it is only conjecture, but it shouldn’t be long before the anime makes an official announcement.
A-1 Pictures has truly excelled in bringing the series to life through animation, and they richly deserve every accolade coming their way. Time after time, this studio demonstrates why they are one of the top studios globally.
A-1 Pictures aims to continue impressing the audience with their top-notch quality as they plan to apply the same level of care to the upcoming seasons of Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling is available to stream on Crucnhyroll.
