Summary
- Each Leader in Warcraft Rumble now has three customizable army loadouts for different strategies.
- Players can share and import army loadouts easily with this new feature.
- The recent Army Loadouts update was shadow dropped.
Warcraft Rumble just added the Army Loadout quality-of-life improvement with virtually no forewarning. Using this new feature, Warcraft Rumble players can save three pre-set armies for each Leader and can easily share their own teams while importing decks set up by other fans.
With 2025 in full swing, Warcraft Rumble has been rolling out tons of content for the “Tower Offense” mobile game. Between brand-new Minis like the Priestess and Swole Troll and reworks for underperforming Warcraft Rumble units like the Mountaineer and Spiderlings, there have been plenty of options for filling the six slots in each Leader’s army.
However, Warcraft Rumble just rolled out a quality-of-life improvement that makes building and sharing armies much easier. Army Loadouts are a new feature that lets each Leader in Warcraft Rumble have up to three pre-set armies that can be customized individually. Each of these three slots can have different Minis, Talents for Leaders and Troops, and cosmetics for Towers, Kobolds, and Emotes. This feature even allows players to copy Army Loadouts to easily share in guild chat or online, and an import function to automatically build these teams from shared codes. Army Loadouts was not announced in any patch notes or blogs by Warcraft Rumble beyond an in-game popup that went live with the feature, though a few content creators datamined its arrival a few days ahead of its implementation.
Army Loadouts in Warcraft Rumble
- Every Leader has three loadouts pre-sets
- Each loadout can be customized individually, including:
- Minis
- Talents
- Tower, Kobold, and Emote customizations
- Upgrade slots are shared across all pre-sets
- Copy and import army codes to quickly share strategies
Notably, different Army Loadouts cannot currently be customized to have different bonus modifiers for the bottom three slots of the deck. If fans want their loadouts to have alternative keywords in these upgrade slots, they must pay 50 Arclight Energy to change them manually each time, as it was before.
Army Loadouts came in a separate patch a few days ahead of Season 13, which launches on March 19. This update ostensibly adds the previously announced balance adjustments for almost two dozen Minis, as well as the start of the Lich King event in Warcraft Rumble.
While this shadow-dropped feature has been nearly universally praised by players, the fact it was implemented with little official forewarning is indicative of a deeper problem with Warcraft Rumble. Some players think Blizzard has done a poor job of communicating what is coming next in the mobile game recently, leaving many in the dark as to what content they can look forward to. Hopefully, Warcraft Rumble can catch up with other Blizzard games like World of Warcraft and Hearthstone when it comes to transparency.
