Summary
- Niantic updated the Pokemon GO special research quest “It’s Not Over Yet” to include easier tasks.
- The updated tasks now require players to catch specific types of Pokemon and use Nanab Berries.
Niantic has made an adjustment to the “It’s Not Over Yet” Special Research mission within Pokemon GO. This new mission was introduced not long ago, focusing on Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. However, a good number of Pokemon GO players encountered difficulties progressing past page 4 of the quest, as these characters were available in raids for a brief period only.
In the original “It’s Not Over Yet” mission on page 4 of Pokemon GO, players were required to capture Zekrom, catch Kyurem, and then merge Kyurem. Gathering the resources for this challenge was no small feat, considering the time constraint for completing it, as Pokemon GO players only had a limited window to accomplish this task. Some fans speculated that Niantic might revise the quest with new tasks, and indeed, they have made changes.
Without any prior notice, Niantic has revamped the “It’s Not Over Yet” Special Research quest in Pokemon GO. The updated tasks now require players to capture 50 Fire-type and 50 Electric-type Pokemon, as well as utilize 50 Nanab Berries while catching Pokemon. This new set of tasks appears more achievable for the players, allowing a larger number of Pokemon GO enthusiasts to complete “It’s Not Over Yet.
Pokemon GO It’s Not Over Yet Changes
When Pokemon GO players finish the fourth page of ‘It’s Not Over Yet’, they need to conquer five raid battles. All tasks on the fifth page are related to winning these raids, meaning players can work on each task at the same time. The type of raid doesn’t matter, but it might be challenging for Pokemon GO players residing in rural areas to complete the fifth page. However, this is still simpler than the tasks on the fourth page, making the changes to the Special Research task likely appreciated by all Pokemon GO players who haven’t already completed the page.
It turns out that finishing raids in Pokemon GO can also assist players in completing their current Might and Mastery Special Research mission. The latest Special Research task introduced in the game, page 2 of Might and Mastery, requires winning three raids. Players can easily accomplish this task along with the one for gaining 25,000 XP while progressing on page 5 of It’s Not Over Yet. However, it is currently impossible to fully complete Might and Mastery, but rest assured that new tasks will be added in the upcoming weeks for Pokemon GO players.
