Atomfall offers an extensive selection of both firearms and melee weapons. However, possessing a powerful and upgraded weapon is crucial for inflicting greater damage, improving accuracy, and ultimately, making you unstoppable.

Among the unique features of Atomfall lies its diverse range of weapon options. While you can engage in battles armed with a Shotgun and Rifle, surprisingly, a Police Baton is also an option for fending off potential threats. The game provides a variety of weapons to choose from, but it’s not always easy to understand how to enhance your equipment in Atomfall.

In the initial stages of gameplay, a significant number of guns you come across are labeled as ‘Rusty’. These are the least powerful weapons in our arsenal, and our goal is to acquire or upgrade to the most potent firearms instead.

How to Upgrade Weapons in Atomfall

As a gamer, I’ve found that to improve my weapons in Atomfall, I must first obtain the Gunsmith Skill. This skill is learned from studying a Survival Crafting Manual. So, I’ll be diving into this manual to unlock this valuable ability!

Performing the action will expand the Crafting menu with additional features, such as weapon upgrading capabilities. However, the process isn’t straightforward, so I’ll walk you through it.

  1. Unlock the weapon upgrade process.
  2. Once you have, go to the menu, and head to the Crafting section.
  3. You can now see weapon upgrades among any other recipes you have.
  4. You need to have at least two of the same rarity to upgrade it to the next level of rarity.
  5. For example, two Rusty weapons are needed to turn it into a Stock weapon.
  6. You also need certain crafting materials too—so make sure you stock up.
  7. Once you have everything, press to upgrade, and your two weapons become one stronger gun!

Where to Find Weapon Upgrade Crafting Manual in Atomfall

You can discover the Weapon Enhancement Survival Blueprint in the secure data storage area, known as Data Store Charlie, within The Interchange’s locked chamber.

Here’s a quick outline of how to get the manual in your hands:

  1. Progress through Atomfall until you unlock The Interchange.
  2. Head to Data Store Charlie.
  3. Use an Atomic Battery to power it up.
  4. Head downstairs to the flooded area protected by electrical current.
  5. Parkour your way across the units in the water.
  6. Climb up to the platform above.
  7. Claim the key from the dead body.
  8. Jump back down, and use it to unlock the secure door up the stairs.
  9. Inside this room are various goodies including Training Stimulants, and the Crafting Manual.

All Rarity Types in Atomfall

Atomfall has three weapon rarity types: Rusty, Stock, and Pristine.

If you don’t come across a weapon of exceptional or pristine quality immediately, you’ll have to enhance it step by step through upgrades. I’d advise you to continue this process even if you manage to get a weapon to the pristine level, as future weapons can be useful for trading purposes.
