Devil Fruits are rare and powerful treasures found throughout the world of One Piece. Eating one grants special abilities, but it comes with a catch: the power you get is random, and you’ll have it for life. There are three main types of Devil Fruits: Paramecia, Logia, and Zoan.
Some rare Devil Fruits in the One Piece world offer their users multiple lives. While this is the primary power of certain fruits, others have it as an additional ability, making them exceptionally special. Very few characters possess this life-saving power, essentially giving them a second chance.
4. Yomi Yomi no Mi
- User: Brook
- Type: Paramecia
Brook is a valued member of the Straw Hat Pirates, and one of the last people Luffy added to the crew. He brought a wealth of experience, musical talent, and unwavering loyalty to the group. Brook has a heartbreaking past: he and his former crew were trapped in the dangerous Florian Triangle, where they all tragically died one by one, including himself. He was forced to watch everything happen, enduring immense suffering.
The Devil Fruit gave him a second chance at life, and he dedicated it to helping Luffy achieve his dream. It’s unclear if he’ll get another opportunity, and this one might be his last taste of freedom. While his past was filled with hardship, his future now looks much more promising.
3. Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi
- User: Kurozumi Orochi
- Type: Mythical Zoan
During the Wano arc, Oda introduced several impressive Devil Fruits, including the one used by Orochi. This fruit allowed him to transform into an eight-headed snake and effectively gave him eight lives. Even after being beheaded while in human form, Orochi could still survive, though this ability had its limits, as demonstrated in the story.
He cheated death seven times, but the eighth proved fatal. His unique Devil Fruit ability offered incredible potential, and it fittingly matched his personality – a weak-willed man who betrayed his nation and its people to a ruthless ruler, ultimately leading to its downfall.
2. Tama Tama no Mi
- User: Tamago
- Type: Zoan
Most Zoan-type Devil Fruits let users transform into an animal, boosting their strength, speed, and stamina. Usually, that’s all they do, but Tamago’s fruit is different. It essentially gives him multiple lives, almost like immortality. When he’s defeated, he transforms into Viscount Hiyoko, and if he’s defeated again, he becomes Count Niwatori.
Each form this user takes is more powerful than the last, making them a difficult opponent in battle. They are most vulnerable to attack when in their yolk form, which appears after their initial form is defeated. This ability was a unique and captivating introduction during the Whole Cake Island arc, setting this Devil Fruit apart from others.
1. Wara Wara no Mi
- User: Basil Hawkins
- Type: Paramecia
Basil Hawkins is a powerful pirate belonging to the ‘Worst Generation.’ He ate a Devil Fruit that gives him the ability to control straw, but his powers go beyond the typical. He can create up to ten straw dolls that act as shields, completely deflecting even deadly attacks aimed at him.
We first saw Hawkins’ dolls in action during his fight with Kizaru, where he used them to protect himself. Later, in Wano, Law was unable to help his crew when Hawkins held them hostage with the same ability. Hawkins has impressive mastery over his Devil Fruit powers, demonstrating a level of control that rivals some of the strongest abilities seen in the series.
