Once you activate a district tower, the Riddler Puzzle icons show up on the map, which is awesome! This guide focuses on solving those puzzles. I’ll walk you through every single Riddler Puzzle in The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals, telling you exactly where to find it, which character or special ability you’ll need, and step-by-step how to crack each one.

All The Cauldron North Ace Chemicals Riddler Puzzles Overview

The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals contains seven Riddler Puzzles. You can solve some of them as just Batman, but others need the help of Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, or Jim Gordon. To find the puzzle locations, open the in-game map and move your cursor around; the coordinates will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

What You Need Before Solving Every Riddler Puzzle in The Cauldron North

You won’t be able to complete all of the Riddler Puzzles in The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals right away. Some of them need characters you unlock later in the game, like Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman. While you’ll also use tools from Jim Gordon and Batman, you should have those already by the time you’re focused on finishing up The Cauldron North.

All The Cauldron North Ace Chemicals Riddler Puzzle Solutions

Short Time Circuit Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 153, 522
  • Required Character: Any character

Pull the large lever to turn off the electrified bars on either side of the cube. Then, have a character stand on one of those now-safe bars and stay there.

Change to your other character and pull the lever. Then, immediately switch back to your first character and get them onto the central platform before the side platforms get powered up again.

This puzzle is simpler to complete with a friend, because you won’t need to constantly switch between playing as different characters.

Need a Breakthrough Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 146, 538
  • Required Character: Nightwing, Batman

Move the cart into the recessed area opposite the wall beside the large cube until it can’t go any further. Then, use Nightwing’s Cable Launcher to attach the item on the cart to the end of the crane that’s close by.

Climb up to the metal platform above the crane, then use Nightwing’s ability to power on the machine you find there. This will cause the crane to swing and destroy a wall. Next, use Batman’s Spray Explosive to break through a second wall and reach the cube.

The Key-side Conundrum Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 108, 543
  • Required Character: Catwoman

To unlock the cube, you need to find three keys and use each one to open a corresponding lock. These locks control the gates blocking your path. Here’s where to find the keys:

  • Key 1: Start at the locks and look south. You’ll see a suspended cage in front of you, and you can use Catwoman’s Whip on its screw to release the cage and free a key.
  • Key 2: Descend the small flight of stairs just north of the locks. At the bottom, use Catwoman’s Whip on the screw extending from the elevated pipe to release water and interact with the lever to move the pipe and put out a fire. This will reveal a vent you can enter with Catwoman’s Call Kitty ability, and there is a key in the area past it.
  • Key 3: There is a cage at the top of the stairs connected to three buttons, and you can follow the wires attached to the cage to find those buttons. Put Batman on one of the buttons on top of the shipping containers, Catwoman on top of the other button on the shipping containers, and the kitten that you can summon with Catwoman’s Call Kitty ability on the third button to open the cage.

This Riddler Puzzle is much simpler when you play with others. It can be tricky to keep the characters positioned correctly when playing alone.

Pipe Down Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 148, 570
  • Required Character: Jim Gordon, Batman

Begin by throwing a Batarang to shatter the valve on the left side of the cube. Next, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer to block the water flow.

Climb up to the right of the cube and follow the pipe going to the right. While you’re moving along it, push the pipe on the cart forward. When the moving pipe reaches the bottom, spray the gears with Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer. Finally, use the Batclaw to pull a pipe section into the correct position using the hook.

After the horizontal pipe is set up, climb the vertical pipe on the wall, destroying the hanging box as you descend. Once on the ground, use the pieces from the broken box to finish the pipe and then pull the lever to send water to the cube. This will release the cube, and you can pick it up.

Tight Corner Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 188, 586
  • Required Character: Robin

To solve this puzzle, you need to hit three targets linked to the cage using the cube. Find the targets by following the wires that run from the cage, and then activate them.

  • Target 1: For the target connected to the wall, use Batman’s Batclaw to open the cage.
  • Target 2: The target in the area above the cube is in a small structure, and you must use Robin to pry open its entrance.
  • Target 3: For the final target, go to the water just left of the cube. Use Robin’s Cable Launcher on the yellow points connected to the walls to create a tightrope. Stand on it to get a good angle for hitting the target.

Birdarandom Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: 216, 567
  • Required Character: Robin

Start by looking under the cube. You’ll see a small battery and a device with two purple shapes. Move around to the back of that device and push it forward – this will shift the purple shapes and uncover a place for the battery. Put the small battery into that slot.

Place Robin on the oil tank opposite the cube, and have Batman stand on the button beside it. You’ll then see three switches above the cube. Robin needs to hit these switches with one shot, in this order: right, then middle, then left.

Just like with the puzzles Short Time Circuit and The Key-side Conundrum, it’s much easier to solve this one with a friend.

Mirror Mirth Riddler Puzzle Solution

  • Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 138, 512
  • Required Character: Any character

You can find Mirror Mirth inside a Puzzle Room located at the coordinates 138, 512. If the room isn’t showing up, keep solving Riddler puzzles throughout Gotham City, and it will eventually appear on your map.

Once you can go inside the Puzzle Room, take these actions to solve it:

  1. Grab the lamp on the table and place it on the pedestal furthest from the mirror.
  2. Collect the bear from the bookshelf and place it on the seat in front of the piano.
  3. Press the red button near the entrance to the room to roll up a dock door. Grab the candles from the ground beyond the dock door and put them on the table.
  4. Pick up the crank near the table, take it into the room where you found the candles, use it on the gears to lower the cage with the boombox, and place the boombox on the pedestal closest to the mirror.

Turning on The Cauldron North tower will show you where to find collectibles and things to do in the area, like Riddler Puzzles. But spotting a puzzle is only the first step – you’ll still need to figure it out!

To get the “A Watchful Collector” achievement and fully complete the game, you must solve all seven Riddler puzzles in The Cauldron North – Ace Chemicals.
