Everyone has a unique energy they share with others, expressed through their personality and how they connect with people. But how will that be reflected in the game Paralives?
This game lets you create characters by picking a personality style for each one. These styles affect how your characters behave and how they interact with others in the game.
How to Choose a Vibe in Paralives (& What it Means)
When you start a new household in Paralives, you’ll find a Personality tab in the top left corner – it’s marked with a brain icon. This is where you define your character! You’ll distribute seven personality points, select a social perk, talent, and lifestyle preferences, and choose their overall vibe. To access the vibe options, click Pick One next to the Vibe tab. You’ll be able to choose from five different vibes.
- Overjoyed
- Gloomy
- Energetic
- Serious
- Jester
The personality you select for your character will unlock special dialogue choices and actions that fit that personality. For instance, a character with a playful, ‘Jester’ personality might use more jokes when meeting people or flirting, often framing their actions as lighthearted fun.
You can find the full effects for each vibe below!
Overjoyed Vibe Effects
- Overjoyed vibes want to share their joy with those around them. These people can make those around them happier just by being there because of their Happiness Aura.
These people are generally easygoing and get along well with others. They’re happiest when their needs are met, and they especially enjoy sharing positive experiences and stories with those around them.
Gloomy Vibe Effects
- Sadness is where a gloomy character thrives. They want to tell a depressing story when talking with an acquaintance.
When someone with a Gloomy Vibe is sad, their sadness increases even more. It’s best to avoid having them live with people who have an Overjoyed Vibe, as the happy aura can make the Gloomy Vibe person upset.
Energetic Vibe Effects
- Those with an Energetic Vibe come equipped with more energy to tackle more things in the day. You’ll see this in the form of a vertical status bar next to their emotions tracking.
People feel their best when they have enough energy to be active and get things done. However, having too much energy can actually cause them to feel stressed. They can use this extra energy to overcome sadness, motivate themselves, or even just rest. Uniquely, they can also quickly boost their energy by having a snack, something others don’t have access to.
Serious Vibe Effects
- When dealing with a serious vibe character, you will notice they want to do things like joke about topics that aren’t typically jokes.
Take nuclear energy, for instance. When people are deeply engaged in something they enjoy, they can become completely absorbed – what some call ‘In the Zone.’ This intense focus can make them forget about things like hunger or fatigue while they’re working.
Jester Vibe Effects
- A character with the Jester Vibe thrives when their fun meter is full, but they can be unpredictable.
Playing a Jester Vibe character isn’t just fun and funny – it also comes with unexpected challenges. Starting on day two, your character will randomly ignore one of their needs each day. You won’t be able to see which need is being ignored until the next day, and even when a related activity is completed, the need won’t be automatically fulfilled.
