In Assassin’s Creed Shadow, players have a variety of weapons at their disposal for tackling various combat situations. These weapons can be personalized with engravings, inspiring players to develop distinct playstyles that impact how they approach fights. The game provides the ability to create loadouts and quickly switch between them, a feature that wasn’t immediately accessible; instead, it must be unlocked as you progress through the game.

How to Unlock Loadouts in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To gain access to different character loadouts in “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, players need to establish a Collection Room within their Hideout. As the game progresses, more components will become available for building in this hideaway. If you find your Gallery is currently locked, you can purchase it from an Ornament Seller located in any of the significant villages found within the Izumi Settsu region.

After successfully accessing the Improve Hideout menu and switching it to Build mode, search for the Gallery structure within the Themed Room categories. You can construct the Gallery using 490 Crops, 370 Wood, 120 Minerals, and 1280 Mon. Once built, you’re welcome to explore your Hideout and customize it with a variety of exotic weapons collected in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How to Create and Switch Between Loadouts

After constructing the Gallery within my hideout, I navigated to my inventory menu, where I found custom loadouts for both Naoe and Yasuke neatly arranged on the left side of the screen.

If the loadout menu doesn’t appear for you, it means you haven’t unlocked Yasuke yet. To do that, you need to finish the “Temple of the Horseman” main quest first. At the end of this quest, Yasuke will become available as a playable character.

To assemble a loadout, just arrange the preferred items in their respective spaces, such as weapons, armor, mount, headgear, and trinket. After arranging everything, click on the “+” icon located on the left side to generate your initial loadout. You can repeat this step and create up to four loadouts for both Naoe and Yasuke. Each character has their own set of loadouts available.

As a player, I can effortlessly swap between my loadouts by ensuring I’m safe and out of harm’s way first. Once secure, all I have to do is click on the desired loadout number to instantly switch to that build without any hassle. This action will also change the appearance of my equipment in AC Shadows, according to the saved transmog look associated with each loadout.
