Essentially, this is the Xbox version of the earlier released PlayStation edition of the Backbone One. Distinguishing features include a translucent dark green body and an Xbox controller layout. The unique selling point is the inclusion of an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription valid for a month. Starting March 27, you can order this controller from the official Backbone website and Best Buy, priced at $99.99, identical to both the regular Backbone One and the PlayStation edition of the gamepad.

Backbone One – Xbox Edition Game Pass Ultimate Sub Comes With Some Limitations

The free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription that comes with your purchase has some conditions. First, it’s only available to new subscribers, but this doesn’t exclude those who have never been subscribed before; if you haven’t had a membership for a while, you might still qualify. However, the duration someone must be without a subscription to become eligible has fluctuated in the past.

Secondly, keep in mind that while the Backbone One – Xbox Edition is sold worldwide, the Ultimate tier of Xbox Game Pass is only accessible in around 40 countries. Lastly, the code for your one-month subscription that comes with the controller expires on March 31, 2028.
