In essence, season 5 seems to serve as a foundation for the upcoming season, with the Meta Liberation Army arc primarily setting up the Paranormal Liberation War arc of season 6.

Despite being thrilling on its own, the Final War Arc seems less impactful due to the presence of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, another intense and chaotic storyline that shares some similarities. It would be ideal for these to be viewed as one continuous epic instead of distinct battles, but they are separated by three brief arcs that interrupt the flow. Most significantly, season 7 lacks the novelty found in the 2022 release.
To set the record straight, the upcoming Season 7 of “My Hero Academia” continues to be engaging. The opening Star and Stripe Arc kicked off with a bang by immediately contrasting All for One (now within Shigaraki) against America’s top hero. Despite lasting just two episodes, this battle is among the series’ finest, as both characters showcased their determination to finish each other off from the get-go. The only factor preventing this arc from achieving pure brilliance is that Star and Stripe is relatively insignificant in the grand scheme of things within the storyline.
The U.A. Traitor Arc presents an intriguing concept, however, it ultimately fails to deliver significant impact. The notion that one of the students was secretly sharing information with All For One had great potential, but the payoff was disappointing because the character lacked the depth needed to convincingly portray such dramatic betrayal. Furthermore, the betrayal itself was resolved too hastily and without proper exploration.
Essentially, these two minor conflicts paved the way for the Great War, a massive confrontation occurring across various battlegrounds. Unlike the Paranormal Liberation War, where the odds were heavily stacked in favor of one side, this battle is more balanced, with our heroes taking the initiative against their adversaries. Eventually, Shigaraki/All For One’s fight with Deku takes center stage, but numerous characters on both sides are given opportunities to showcase their abilities.
Initially, the first half of season 7 for MHA feels somewhat lackluster, but as it moves forward, it gains significant speed and momentum. The final episodes are truly outstanding, ranking among the best that the anime has produced. Although it takes a bit to reach its peak, season 7 is undeniably one of the top My Hero Academia seasons.

It’s no shock that My Hero Academia soared in popularity following the powerful impact of its initial season.
