A recent leak unveils the initial glimpse of three Mega Evolutions destined for the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A, set to launch towards the end of 2025. Previously, various descriptions about several Mega evolutions had surfaced online, including Mega Falinks resembling a Voltron formation and Mega Starmie boasting elongated legs. However, this is the first time we’ve seen actual images of new Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Here are some newly rumored Mega Evolutions that have surfaced: Dragonite, Clefable, and Falinks. It’s important to remember that earlier leaks from Pokemon Legends: Z-A suggested that as many as 27 new Mega Evolutions could be added to the game, so it’s likely we’ll learn about more in the future. However, until The Pokemon Company and Game Freak officially confirm these potential Mega Evolutions, fans should approach this information with a degree of skepticism.
To clarify, Game Rant has authenticated documents leaked by Jenny during a Typhlosion Raid, offering a comprehensive insight into these three Mega Evolutions. The following images and new titles and descriptions have been provided for these transformations. Notably, Dragonite takes on a color scheme reminiscent of its ancestors while appearing more aggressive despite maintaining a laid-back demeanor, resembling a real-world Relaxaurus. Meanwhile, Falinks is reported to possess two Mega Evolutions; the leaked version showcases a cute, glowing, spherical lamb-like creature that looks like a Lamball. Lastly, Clefable’s appearance undergoes minor adjustments to incorporate more feline features, allegedly inspired by the real-world Cattiva.

New Mega Evolutions List
- Dragonite Cryst
- Clefable Botan
- Falinks Lux
This leak suggests two significant modifications in the functioning of Mega Evolutions are imminent. Initially, Game Freak is revising the naming system for all Mega Evolutions, primarily to eliminate the repetition associated with Mega Meganium. The new names will be Dragonite Cryst, Clefable Botan, and Falinks Lux, although specifics about the new conventions were not disclosed fully. Secondly, a change is being made regarding the way Mega Evolutions are obtained; previously, Pokemon needed to hold Mega Stones that ended with “-ite”. To eliminate repetition like Dragoniteite, all Mega Evolutions now require players to catch the original Pokemon in a Mega Sphere.
Redesigning the Mega Evolution mechanics in Pokemon Legends: Z-A comes as quite a surprise, yet it’s an exciting change. It’s uncertain which ones will prove to be competitive or popular among fans, but Dragonite Cryst seems like a strong possibility for excelling in both areas.
