Initially, Final Fantasy was an attempt by Square (now Square Enix) to produce a successful game. Remarkably, they achieved their goal, and it’s hard to believe that this series, which started in Japan in 1987, is still thriving today.

Apart from numerous primary games, there have been more spin-offs associated with “Final Fantasy” than anything else. Many of these spin-offs feature characters from the mainline games, such as Yuffie from “Final Fantasy 7”. However, one might wonder which character has been playable in the series the most, excluding mobile games. While this may be clear to ardent fans, let’s delve into it regardless.

He appears as a playable character in the original game and both remake projects thus far. Intriguingly, he was a hidden character in the original Final Fantasy Tactics, and unlocking him was quite a challenge. Much like Squall, Cloud participated in the absurd Chocobo Racing and Chocobo GP series. Similarly to many of his fellow characters, he fought in Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring. Remarkably, Cloud is featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, akin to Sephiroth. However, he also made appearances in the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. before that, which could almost be considered two separate games.
