The Kamon Crests are one of several collectibles hidden throughout the game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows.” These crests symbolize some of the most influential Japanese lords, and they are often concealed within the depths of castles or fortresses. In total, there are nine Kamon Crests to locate, and collecting them all will finish the side-quest “A Collection of Crests.” This guide aims to help you discover the location of all nine Kamon Crests in “Assassin’s Creed Shadows.”

Kamon Crests are collectible items scattered throughout the game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Representing powerful Japanese lords, these crests can be found hidden deep within castles or forts. To finish the side-quest “A Collection of Crests,” you must find all nine Kamon Crests in total. This guide offers guidance on where to locate each one.

Where to Find Every Kamon Crest in AC Shadows

How to Start A Collection of Crests in AC Shadows:

To begin “A Collection of Crests,” your initial step should be securing the ability to play as Yasuke. After achieving this, navigate your way to Kyoto, Yamashiro in the character of Yasuke. In the southern part of the city, near the base of Honnoji Temple’s southeast corner, search for a quest marker. It is here that you will encounter Ota Gyuichi, who was once the scribe to Oda Nobunaga and has ties with your character, Yasuke.

As a game enthusiast, I’m sharing a tip about my latest adventure in AC Shadows. Chat with Ota Gyuichi, and he’ll kick off “A Collection of Crests” quest. The goal? Hunt down all nine Kamon Crests hidden within the game. Let’s see who can find them all!

To keep track of your advancement, simply move your cursor over the symbol indicating Ota Gyuichi‘s position. This will display the total number of Kamon Crests that you have gathered thus far.

All Kamon Crest Locations:

Oda Clan Kamon You must use Yasuke to collect this Kamon. The Oda Clan crest is found in the Fukushima Ruins, which are found at the north end of the long, slender island on the western side of Osaka Castle in Izumi Settsu. You’ll find the crest at the bottom of a ruined guard tower. Simply use Yasuke to push the barrier blocking the door, and pick the crest up from the ground.
Bessho Clan Kamon The Bessho Clan crest is located in Miki Castle, Harima. It is found in a small structure near the center of the western side of the castle grounds. If you use Observation on the western side of the castle, you’ll see the white dot from pretty far away.
Shibata Clan Kamon The Shibata Clan crest is located within Genbao Fort in Mount Uchikanao, Wakasa. You’ll find the crest in the upper levels of the main castle. Be careful when you head to get this crest, as both Samurai Daisho are higher than level 40. The Silver Trader occupies this fort, which is likely why the Daisho are leveled higher than the object you acquire in the Legendary Chest.
Hashiba Clan Kamon The Hashiba Clan crest is located in Hiraiyama Fort, in the Warfields province of Harima. When you enter the fort, make your way to the northernmost edge of the compound. The crest is in a small room, but it is blocked by a moveable shelf. Pull the shelf back, then go outside and jump in the window the shelf was blocking to collect the crest.
Akiyama Clan Kamon You can find the Akiyama Clan crest in the Uda Matsuyama Castle in Uda Matsuyama, Yamato. The Akiyama Kamon is found within the main castle tower, which sits in the eastern corner of the grounds. You’ll need to move a small barrier to collect the crest, so make sure you use Yasuke.
Tsutsui Clan Kamon You’ll find the Tsutsui Clan crest in Koriyama Castle, which sits in the Koriyama province of Yamato. The crest is found behind a moveable barrier in the main castle’s ‘treasure’ chamber, near all the pallets of crafting resources that you can smuggle out with scouts.
Akechi Clan Kamon The Akechi Clan crest is located in Sakamoto Castle, which is found on the southwestern shore of Lake Biwa in Omi. This Kamon is found in the main castle, but you have to make sure to use the stairs on the southern side of the building, above the castle treasure room.
Ikko Ikki Clan Kamon The Ikko Ikki Clan crest is in Negoroji, Kii, at the Negoroji Kunren-ba. This is a small POI just south of the Negoroji Temple Grounds. You’ll find the crest on the first floor of a guard tower that is just below the ‘Negoroji’ in Negoroji Kunren-ba on the map.
Niwa Clan Kamon The Niwa Clan crest is located in Tsuruga Castle, which sits in the heart of Sotomo Gate, Wakasa in the northeast corner of the map. The building that contains the Kamon is right next to the building that contains the castle’s Legendary Chest.
