Unleashing Power: Meet Boruto’s Most Dominant Characters!

Summary

  • Characters like Kashin Koji and Code exhibit unique abilities inherited from powerful predecessors.
  • Sasuke proves to be a formidable force with his Rinnegan despite newer threats in Boruto.
  • Naruto’s strength and tactics, including the Baryon Mode, solidify his position as a powerhouse even without Kurama.

It’s no wonder fans are curious about the strongest characters in Boruto , given its portrayal of the next generation of Naruto‘s heroes shaping the shinobi world. With the addition of the Otsutsuki, Human God Trees, and new Jinchuriki versions, the competition is fierce.

Fans are eager to find out which characters from Boruto are the strongest, especially since the series has introduced more powerful entities like the Otsutsuki, God Trees, and new forms of the Jinchuriki.

It’s quite remarkable how many characters from the series Boruto have demonstrated unexpected development since their reappearance in Two Blue Vortex. On the flip side, some of the villains initially introduced in the original Boruto series have solidified their status as potential powerhouses who could outshine several characters from Naruto.

10. Kashin Koji

The Perfect Clone Of Jiraiya

  • Debut: Boruto Episode 53

Previously concealed within the character Kara as a masked figure, Kashin Koji is eventually unveiled as more than just a mere disguise. He is, in fact, a clone of the Sannin Jiraiya, specifically created to eliminate Kara’s leader, Isshin Otsutsuki. It will be later revealed that his presumed death was merely a coincidence, as we learn in ‘Two Blue Vortex’ that he has been Boruto’s teacher all along, following Sasuke’s transformation into a Chakra Tree and Hidari’s activation as a Human God Tree. Additionally, Koji regains consciousness and inherits a Shinjutsu from Shibai Otsutsuki called Ten Directions, an ability that allows him to see multiple possible timelines. By using this “vision,” Kashin Koji foresaw scenarios where Boruto defeated Jura, and through this analysis, he began training Boruto to develop new skills swiftly.

Although Koji seems primarily engrossed in his studies, it’s crucial not to underestimate the Sannin clone. He is not just a copy of his original; he boasts an array of Scientific Ninja Tools that set him apart. These tools enable him to secrete sticky oil from his mouth and create smokescreens directly from his body. Additionally, Koji demonstrates exceptional skills in Fire, Earth, and Yin Release – he can ignite his fists with fire, transform earth into mud, and perform Genjutsu (illusions). His Sage Mode is remarkably flawless, unlike the original Sannin, showing no significant deformities. Furthermore, his ability to foresee potential threats gives him an immediate advantage over opponents who might attempt to engage him in combat.

9. Sasuke Uchiha

A Convenient Rinnegan Made Obsolete For Nerfing

  • Debut: Naturo Episode 1

Regardless of the fresh challenges in Boruto, fans can remain confident that characters like Sasuke Uchiha will devise a strategy for victory. Sasuke’s arsenal includes his Rinnegan’s extraordinary space-time jutsu, but he also possesses his own Sharingan (and Mangekyo Sharingan), exceptional skills, and keen battle instincts to navigate difficult situations. His past adventure with Boruto through time travel demonstrates that Sasuke has extensive combat experience, allowing him to engage Urashiki Otsutsuki on equal terms even without Naruto and Jiraiya needing to escalate the fight to Kage-level intensity.

In the narrative of Boruto, it was Sasuke who played a significant role in various battles. He fought against Momoshiki Otsutsuki, defeated Shin Uchiha with his multi-Sharingan abilities, and attempted to thwart Isshiki Otsutsuki’s plans that involved Boruto and Kawaki. Sasuke’s power was so formidable that a Boruto possessed by Momoshiki had to forcibly remove the Rinnegan from Sasuke’s eye to weaken him. Even after this, Sasuke retained his full strength of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

8. Isshiki Otsutsuki

Kaguya’s Original Partner

  • Debut: Boruto Episode 202

It was hard for Naruto fans to visualize Isshiki Otsutsuki having power beyond that of Kaguya Otsutsuki, but his fight scene in Boruto made it clear how effortlessly he could overpower a powerful Naruto and Sasuke, who had once imprisoned Isshiki’s partner. Scientist Amado from Kara suggested that if Isshiki had complete mastery of his abilities (either through a Vessel like Kawaki or another means), he would have the capacity to destroy Earth or manipulate it at will.

As a member of the Otsutsuki clan, Isshiki boasts extraordinary capabilities that transcend conventional limits. These include rapid movement through space-time across various dimensions, the ability to fly, the creation of illusions, and potent seals. He also has the Byakugan and a distinct Dojutsu known as the Kokugan – an eye that perceives the vital energy within living beings, and utilizes Shinjutsu, which can diminish himself or non-living targets instantaneously (Sukunahikona) before storing them in another dimension for immediate release (Daikokuten). Isshiki effectively demonstrated these powers against Naruto and Sasuke. However, his power was so immense that it was only a series of unfortunate events – the instability of his host, Jigen, and the betrayal of his seemingly ideal host, Kawaki – that ultimately led to his downfall.

7. Naruto Uzumaki

Needed Kurama Gone For Proper Nerfing

  • Debut: Naruto Episode 1

It’s not surprising that Naruto Uzumaki continued to be a dominant force in the storyline of his son, given his significant role in defending Konoha during Momoshiki’s attack and his ability to engage Isshiki Otsutsuki in combat with the aid of the Nine-Tails. As the Seventh Hokage, Naruto’s prowess is further enhanced by his proficiency in Sage Mode, a skill that enables him to battle chakra-absorbing Otsutsuki, while the integration of the Nine-Tails Chakra amplifies his offensive power. When necessary, Naruto can summon an army through Shadow Clone Jutsu, assume the form of Kurama himself, and unleash Tailed-Beast Bombs along with Ultra-Big Rasengan attacks.

Ultimately, Kurama chose to activate the Baryon Mode alongside Naruto – a transformation that harnessed all of the Nine-Tails’ vitality for an incredible power surge. In this form, Naruto exhibited unprecedented strength, agility, and reaction time, even surpassing formidable opponents like Isshiki. This new mode allows Naruto’s attacks to not only drain Kurama’s energy but also that of his enemies, crippling them permanently. This impressive display moves Naruto closer to the top of the list; however, the inevitable loss of Kurama may push him further away, especially when we consider the true bond between Kurama and Himawari. Some argue that the Baryon Mode was a blow to Naruto’s legacy, as it appeared unnecessary to separate Kurama from Naruto solely to limit his power, thereby fostering the growth of other characters.

6. Daemon

Killing Intent Can Indeed Kill

  • Debut: Boruto Episode 289

Originally portrayed as the playful yet troublesome sibling of AIda, Daemon is a skinny teenager tasked primarily with safeguarding his sister and eliminating any adversaries that cross their path. Regrettably for his foes, he seldom needs to exert much effort. Due to the genetic integration of Otsutsuki ancestor Shibai’s DNA, he possesses the Reflection Shinjutsu ability, redirecting any attacks aimed at him back towards the attacker. Furthermore, even the desire to harm Daemon triggers this skill, making Daemon an incredibly challenging adversary in combat. In theory, this should make it tough for powerful Human God Trees such as Jura to confront Daemon, as their pursuit of humanity necessitates the development of emotions, including anger and hostility, which can potentially manifest as a killing intent.

From a combat perspective, Daemon exhibits exceptional Taijutsu abilities, boasting incredible speed that could surprise his adversaries if he chooses to attack. Though he hasn’t had many physical battles yet, it’s speculated that he may be far stronger than Jigen, who hosts Isshiki Otsutsuki. Equipped with both Scientific Ninja Tools and DNA from Shibai Otsutsuki, Daemon is believed to possess a more robust physique, potentially capable of mastering other Shinjutsu skills, like levitation.

5. Kawaki

The Fake Uzumaki But The Perfect Weapon

  • Debut: Boruto Episode 1

At first presented as the impetuous and aggressive ex-project of Kara tied to Kama users, Kawaki gradually grows attached to the Uzumaki clan, leading to his strong allegiance towards his newfound family and relentless hostility towards the Otsutsukis. This unusual bond with Boruto led Kawaki to switch their destinies if necessary for safeguarding Naruto from the escalating Otsutsuki danger. Despite being labeled as an experimental weapon, Kawaki’s proficiency in wielding the Kama is shaping him into a formidable combatant.

In the group of Kara where Scientific Ninja Tools were distributed, Kawaki utilizes his transformative abilities the most, frequently converting his hands into massive claws and blades. His combat skills were impressive even before receiving Ninjutsu training, as he could absorb chakra attacks and retaliate with energy blasts from his altered limbs. Since acquiring the now-defunct Isshiki’s Kama, which effectively made him part-Otsutsuki, Kawaki possesses the abilities of Kokugan and flight. It was unexpected that his enhanced body had restrictions, but even with these limitations, Kawaki can hold his own against Claw Grimes. Recently, Kawaki has requested Amado to remove these restraints, which could make him an even more formidable weapon, said to be capable of battling powerful opponents like Jura.

4. Code

The Designated One To Fulfill The Otsutsuki’s Will

  • Debut: Boruto Episode 157

As Isshiki Otsutsuki prepares to depart from the mortal world following his death at Kawaki’s hands, he bestows upon Code, a devoted follower of the Otsutsuki family, the responsibility of upholding their will and legacy. Initially, a mere Inner of Kara, Code is recognized for his haughty disposition and his Claw Marks—dark bands that enable him to traverse partially or completely, making them ideal for both teleportation and stealth attacks. Nevertheless, Code’s menace in the Boruto series significantly escalates due to a crucial gift Isshiki imparts to him prior to his passing.

Through the White Karma, which symbolizes Code’s failure as a vessel for Isshiki, lies his potential legacy. Despite not having the ability to reincarnate or absorb chakra in their original forms, the White Karma grants Code access to Isshiki’s full power, transforming him into an Otsutsuki who embodies their will and aspires to become a divine being himself. The true capabilities of the White Karma remain largely unknown, except that it could potentially make Code stronger than even Isshiki.

3. Boruto Uzumaki

The Perfect Modern Otsutsuki Vessel

  • Debut: Naruto Shippuden Episode 500

Boruto Uzumaki, who possesses exceptional ninja skills due to his innate abilities and powerful lineage, experienced a life-altering event when he killed Momoshiki Otsutsuki and obtained the Kama. This unique compatibility with a Kama amplifies Boruto’s potential as a Chakra Fruit exponentially. Furthermore, Momoshiki was forced to transform Boruto into a full-fledged Otsutsuki before his reincarnation, due to what appeared to be Boruto’s demise. Additionally, the enigmatic Jogan and Boruto’s potential to activate the Byakugan add layers of mystery to Naruto’s son, making him an unpredictable factor.

In “Two Blue Vortex”, Boruto, who has been trained by both Sasuke and Kashin Koji, demonstrates an impressive array of skills. This includes his unique adaptation of the Flying Thunder God technique, enhanced through Otsutsuki translocation, as well as a Rasengan named “Uzuhiko” that exploits the planet’s rotation to overpower his adversaries. Boruto shows he’s a formidable fighter with merely three years of training, managing to outmaneuver Code’s Ten-Tails-empowered Claw Grimes and even posing a challenge to Jura. With Boruto only recently beginning to understand the consequences of his new Otsutsuki lineage, there’s a potential for him, as a human-Otsutsuki hybrid, to tap into new abilities.

2. Jura

A Human God Tree Who Desires To Be Human

  • Debut: Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4 (no anime debut yet)

Following Isshiki Otsutsuki’s defeat by Naruto, the defeated villain transfers the true Otsutsuki legacy to the devout follower Code through the White Kama – a device which he later employs to generate the Grimes, an army, from the dormant Ten-Tails that their organization had stored in another dimension. Once Code completed creating his military force, the remnants of the Ten-Tails consolidated into Jura, the ruler of the Human God Trees and a personification of the Ten-Tails. Unlike other Human God Trees created from human “molds”, Jura is an extraterrestrial being with a fascination towards humanity.

Because of his otherworldly characteristics, it’s advisable not to underestimate Jura. In fact, Boruto has instructed Shikamaru to prevent Konoha from provoking him if he ever visits the village. So far, in his limited battles, Jura has shown remarkable skills like sensing and tracking chakra signatures, using the extremely rare Wood Release, producing Tailed Beast Balls and lasers, and even standing his ground against a modified Kawaki, a Code reinforced by White Kara, as well as Naruto and Boruto’s empowered versions. Surprisingly, Jura claims he can overpower both Naruto and Boruto, despite their enhanced abilities.

1. Shibai Otsutsuki

The Grandfather Of Ninjutsu

  • Debut: Boruto Chapter 75 (no anime debut yet)

Re-phrasing: It’s a misrepresentation to call Shibai Otsutsuki as the “grandfather” of Ninjutsu, given his divine status, even among the Otsutsuki clan, which is clearly demonstrated by his god-like abilities. Thanks to Kama, Shibai has repeatedly reincarnated himself across numerous worlds (possibly including their inhabitants), a selfless act that eventually granted him god-like power. The powerful techniques performed by Shibai were all known as Shinjutsu, and encompassed capabilities such as instant travel through black bands, time perception, deflection of attacks, and even shaping worlds according to his will. Anything else he can create, he can do so using his chakra, without the need for hand seals, making Shibai essentially the “grand” progenitor of all Ninjutsu in the Naruto universe.

The brilliant scientist Amado Sanzu from Kara posited (and Momoshiki confirmed) that Shibai intentionally shed his body in order to achieve a higher spiritual level. When Amado discovered Shibai’s remains, he infused their DNA into Kara members, but only some of them successfully awakened the dormant Shinjutsu associated with Shibai. Although Shibai seems to have departed the physical world, it is uncertain if the Otsutsuki leader will choose to reappear. If he does return, there’s not much anyone can do to prevent him.
