Although I must admit that Jedi: Fallen Order left me with a blend of emotions, I’m thrilled to share that Jedi: Survivor has successfully addressed and rectified the notable flaws, transforming it into a remarkable follow-up that’s definitely worth exploring further.

Enhancing the narrative significantly, improving and diversifying battles, expanding explorable areas with smoother navigation, and providing engaging side activities, it surpassed its forerunner remarkably. It presents a game that will satisfy enthusiasts of Metroidvania, Soulslike, and narrative-focused RPGs alike.

The visuals were already stunning, but with the might of the PS5 Pro, every space alien, beautiful planet, and radiant lightsaber looks even more detailed now. If you’re eager for a trip to Koboh, there’s never been a better moment than right now.

This game often features numerous map markers, leading to a sense of sprawling, open-ended exploration that might quickly become overwhelming. However, with its tightly designed combat system and exceptional movement mechanics, it manages to keep players engaged for an extended period.

Furthermore, due to enhanced graphics, the views from decaying skyscrapers have never appeared more stunningly beautiful. Similarly, the undead characters on the screen have never seemed quite as horrifying and gruesome.

6. The Last of Us Part One

A Seminal Story

At this stage, it’s more likely to prompt an eyeroll than enthusiasm, given that the two The Last of Us games have been remastered almost as often as Skyrim.

But it’s hard to argue against the fact that the remastered version of the game, regardless of its necessity, has made an exceptionally beautiful game even more pristine, providing the ultimate The Last of Us experience for fans.

I believe there’s a case to be made that the remaster of Part One softens the gameplay slightly, making it less challenging overall. However, this change also makes the game more inviting and easier for beginners to pick up.

This work is rightfully considered a modern masterpiece, which deserves its own TV adaptation. It’s an iconic narrative in the world of gaming, and with the PS5 Pro, you can experience it in its most spectacular form. In other words, until there’s another remastering of it.

It’s accurate to note that Baldur’s Gate 3 significantly popularized the idea of Dungeons & Dragons in video games, making it a trendy and widely accepted concept. Nevertheless, there have been numerous other games preceding it that have successfully incorporated DND mechanics with impressive results. Titles like Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, and Pathfinder are among those that immediately come to mind as notable examples.

The game features an abundance of interconnected routes, structures, and personalized settings, making it just as engaging on initial play as subsequent ones. It also delivers a captivating tale set in a realm steeped in history, inviting you to explore its rich backstory.

This game might not significantly benefit from a PS5 Pro upgrade because the visual enhancements aren’t jaw-dropping, as the original version was more focused on its rich RPG systems and storyline rather than graphics. However, it still offers noticeable improvements, which will undoubtedly be appreciated by fans of the Pathfinder series.

You have the freedom to journey across the Earth, starting in Australia and ending at Antarctica, by kayaking to your satisfaction. Whether you aim to strengthen your shoulders and engage in physical activity, or prefer a more leisurely pace and enjoy observing the world passing by, it’s all up to you.

In essence, the realistic paddle physics contribute to the experience, but it’s the breathtaking graphics that truly set this game apart. With the PS5 Pro, you might lose yourself so completely that you’ll almost forget you’re relaxing in your living room instead of paddling through a serene river in Costa Rica.

3. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart

From my perspective, this Ratchet and Clank adventure stands out as the best yet, demonstrating the impressive capabilities of the PS5 in terms of technology. However, at its heart, it maintains the same enjoyable and user-friendly run-and-gun gameplay that endeared the duo to us for so long.

2. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Although some might view it as an expansion pack for the initial Marvel’s Spider-Man game, it’s part of a series where having more of the same quality content isn’t necessarily a negative aspect.

This title introduced us properly to NYC’s Spiderman in training, Miles Morales, and tells a unique story that ties-in with the original title, and establishes Miles as a core character leading into Marvel’s Spiderman 2.

The gameplay largely follows the original, boasting impressive navigation, fight sequences reminiscent of Arkham, and an open-world filled with various tasks, although there’s a bit more emphasis on combat, and the cityscape has been given a holiday makeover.

In simple terms, the PS5 Pro is so stunning that it outshines even the Big Apple, no matter what weather conditions. If you’re still unsure about the PS5 Pro, there’s a chance Miles’ tale could change your mind instantly.

1. Demon’s Souls

The Beauty of Boletaria

Despite some challenges posed by its outdated mechanics and tricky boss fights, which aren’t as challenging as in other Souls games, this remake by Bluepoint is remarkable for its stunning visuals. No other Soulsborne game can compare to it in terms of visual appeal.

In a refreshingly different yet strangely familiar manner, Boletaria seems to have undergone a transformation since its 2009 debut. With the PS5 Pro providing the muscle, each strike of your sword, every defeated boss, and every fresh realm you traverse promises an even more stunning visual experience.

The game’s experience remains tedious, and the ghostly figure on the spiraling staircase en route to the Old Monk continues to be just as bothersome, since in terms of gameplay, it’s essentially a direct replica of the original.

Instead of the old methods being hard to bear, the new visuals make them seem much more tolerable compared to the 2009 version.
