Disney’s “Illusion Island” debuted solely on the Nintendo Switch in July 2023. While it didn’t revolutionize gaming, it offered an appealing 2D side-scroller experience where gamers could manage popular Disney characters.

Data miners have just disclosed that Disney Illusion Island, which has been available for nearly two years on the Nintendo Switch, will soon be departing and moving to the PlayStation 5. At this point, it remains unclear if the game will also appear on Xbox and PC platforms.

On the online marketplace PSDeals.net, there’s a listing that discloses the upcoming digital release of ‘Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey and Friends’ for PlayStation 5, which is scheduled for May 30th. This exciting news was originally shared on social media by Gematsu.

On the island of Illusion, gamers have the option to choose from beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, or Goofy. Using these characters, they traverse dangerous stages while dodging enemy assaults to complete missions. As the game progresses, players will unveil additional skills and wider portions of the map for exploration.

This game features cooperative play options that make it ideal for family enjoyment. However, the exact price is yet to be determined, but you can consider it around $39.99 if purchasing from the Nintendo Store.

The game was designed by Dlala Studios and received inspiration from Rayman Legends during its creation. Upon release, it gained a variety of opinions, ultimately earning a Metacritic score of 73 while receiving positive recognition from publications focused on Nintendo.
