How to Move Items with Handlers in Schedule 1

As a game’s protagonist immersed in the world of drug trafficking simulator Schedule 1, I can recruit additional non-player characters (NPCs) to aid me in managing my illicit empire. These extra hands, particularly the Handlers, are invaluable as they significantly reduce the grunt work associated with packaging and transportation of goods. However, keeping them organized can sometimes be a challenge due to their numerous tasks and my own need for control.

To earn substantial income within the Schedule 1 sector, it’s crucial to fine-tune both your offerings and operations. Having an assistant or two on your team can greatly facilitate this process, and if you encounter difficulties in determining their delivery paths, here’s a simplified guide to help manage item transportation.

How to Set Handler Routes in Schedule 1

Setting up a Handler is quite straightforward – picture yourself as the one organizing items for packing. Handlers should initiate by having a bin or container that contains all the items to be packed, then they should proceed to a Packaging Station. Once everything is bagged, they need to transfer the packaged goods into another container that holds all products ready for sale, both yours and your dealers’.

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of what you need to do:

  1. Select your Management Clipboard.
  2. Approach your Handler, then press E.
  3. Under the Routes section, click “Add New.”
  4. Select “From – None,” then left-click on your storage container that contains packing supplies and products.
  5. Select “To – None,” then left-click on your Packaging Station.
  6. Click “Add New” again.
  7. Select “From – None,” then click on your Packaging Station
  8. Select “To – None,” then click on your second storage container.

Properly executed, the Handler will retrieve items and essentials from a storage area, pack them neatly at a Packing Station, and subsequently store them in a different container for safekeeping.

Why is my Handler Not Working?

There could be multiple reasons for this:

  • You don’t have supplies in your storage containers.
  • You haven’t placed money in the Handler’s suitcase.
  • Your Handler’s AI pathfinding somehow broke or bugged out.

Solving the initial two problems shouldn’t be too difficult. Look into your Handler’s supplier and check the suitcase on their bed for any necessary items your Handler might require to complete their tasks.

When it comes to addressing the third problem, I suggest arranging your Handler’s workstations closely for optimal efficiency. Ideally, these stations – the supply container, the Packaging Station, and the output container – should be positioned side by side. This setup ensures that the Handler can easily access all stations, reducing the chance of any AI glitches. If necessary, you might need to reposition your furniture to accommodate this arrangement.
