Injustice 3: Why We Need a Heroic Superman to Save the Day!

When Injustice 3 is released, a significant method for innovation could be by fundamentally altering the foundation of the series. Making substantial changes to the Injustice games would undeniably be risky, but the rewards could potentially be great. What was missing from the last game that could greatly enhance the next installment is particularly notable. Essentially, Injustice 3 has an opportunity to break away from its established pattern in numerous ways. However, the most effective way to do so is also one of the most apparent.

In the universe of “Injustice,” Superman deviates significantly from his counterpart in the main universe, primarily due to the death of Lois Lane which caused him to forsake his moral compass. Instead of upholding justice, he becomes a brutal ruler over Earth, exhibiting tyranny that surpasses many of his past foes. Batman leads the resistance against Superman’s regime, consisting of various superheroes and even reformed villains. The narrative focuses on the struggle between these factions as Bruce Wayne battles to free Earth from the grip of his corrupted former ally.

The Original Superman Would Be Injustice 3’s Best Potential Roster Member

Superman Could Face His Evil Counterpart in Injustice 3

As a die-hard DC fan, I can’t help but feel that it’s a bit of an irony – the ideal hero for Injustice 3 might just be Superman himself! The last game left many of us yearning to play as the Man of Steel, but we were only given the Regime Superman, which was quite a letdown. However, there’s a silver lining! The multiverse concept, introduced in the original game’s storyline and further developed in Injustice 2‘s Multiverse mode, could pave the way for Injustice 3. This means that they could introduce our beloved Superman, or a good Superman from another part of the multiverse, joining forces to combat the Regime Superman. This way, Superman fans like me can finally get to play as him while keeping his classic, heroic persona intact.

There Are Enough Evil Supermen Even Before Injustice 3

It’s becoming clear that the ‘evil Superman’ theme is dominating pop culture too much, with characters like Omni-Man from Invincible and Homelander from The Boys being prominent examples. This trend is further reinforced by DC’s recent works such as Injustice and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which portray Superman as an antagonist. It seems that evil Superman-like characters are overshadowing the original at this point in mainstream media. Consequently, a ‘good’ Superman in Injustice 3 could provide a refreshing change, and both Regime Superman and the original could have significant roles in the storyline.

The DCU Superman Film Warrants Another Good Superman Appearance in Injustice 3

Another point to consider is that the release of the upcoming DCU Superman movie could strengthen the argument for including the original Superman character in Injustice 3. Even if the two releases are not close together, there’s still a compelling reason to make it happen. The film will likely reinvigorate interest in Superman, making it seem strange for the game to feature only an evil version of him. To preserve the positive momentum surrounding Superman, it seems illogical to have Regime Superman as the only Superman character in Injustice 3.

Regime Superman may be needed for Injustice 3‘s story, but the original also deserves a place.

The iconic Superman cherished by fans makes an ideal pick for the lineup of Injustice 3. Let’s hope that the creative minds behind Injustice 3 plan a comeback for the genuine Superman. Although Regime Superman and his rule might shape the storyline, he shouldn’t merely be another malevolent version of Superman. With recent years showing less representation of the original Superman, it’s high time for him to make a significant return, and Injustice could provide that platform. It seems beneficial for Injustice 3 to incorporate two Supermen in their roster to maintain balance and offer players an interesting choice between the original hero and his alternate persona.
