Fans Are Devastated: Solo Leveling Ragnarok Goes on Indefinite Hiatus!

WARNING: This post contains SPOILERS for Solo Leveling Ragnarok Manhwa.

Summary

  • Solo Leveling Ragnarok concluded Season 1 with a cliffhanger, introducing new abilities for Suho.
  • The series goes on an indefinite hiatus after Chapter 47, leaving fans anticipating a long wait.
  • Fans speculate the delay is due to health concerns and fear of a prolonged absence, similar to other Manhwa series.

In terms of plot and visuals, the spin-off series “Solo Leveling: Ragnarok” now rivals the original. Instead of focusing on Jinwoo, the main character is Sung Suho, son of the Shadow Monarch. With the looming threat of Itarim being too much for Jinwoo to handle alone, he needs Suho’s assistance. Yet, Suho must first carve his own path towards strength before he can truly stand by his father’s side.

Beru has been walking with Suho every step of the way, yet the path hasn’t been easy for the young lad. Spectators have enjoyed watching Suho conquer each obstacle and transform into a formidable Hunter. In fact, in Chapter 47 of the series, Suho leaves Beru and his companions astounded by revealing an exceptional class skill that not even Jinwoo has employed. The tale of Ragnarok has become more engrossing, and the nail-biting conclusion of the last chapter has fans eagerly anticipating Chapter 48. However, the series will be taking a break after Chapter 47. This hiatus is open-ended, which means the fanbase must endure a prolonged wait.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Has Announced A Long Hiatus After Season 1

Fans Worry That The Series Will Be Absent For Several Months

Following an exceptional episode, the Redice Studio team shared that Solo Leveling Ragnarok Season 1 has concluded. They expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering backing and revealed that the show is taking an extended break after Episode 47. The creators are choosing to step away temporarily to plan for Season 2, a decision we can understand. But unlike the brief pauses we’re used to, there are concerns among fans that the series might be absent for several months.

Typically, Manhwa series tend to have extended hiatuses following the end of a season, as demonstrated with “The Beginning After The End”. The fifth season of “TBATE” ended in January 2023, and the series resumed with its sixth season in May 2024. Given this pattern, fans of “Solo Leveling” may anticipate that “Ragnarok” might follow suit, which could mean we’ll likely have to wait a few months for a new chapter.

The idea of Manhwa seasons isn’t something novel; even the original Solo Leveling Manhwa boasts multiple seasons. However, the first season of the original series consisted of 110 chapters, whereas Ragnarok ended Season 1 prematurely at just 47 chapters, leaving many fans puzzled. The author paused for two weeks after Chapter 46 due to health issues, and some speculate that the break may be due to ongoing health concerns, causing uncertainty about the resumption of publication.

The anime adaptation of the popular series Solo Leveling recently concluded its second season, leaving fans without new chapters of Ragnarok to anticipate. Consequently, this appears to be a tough time for fans of the series. However, it’s reasonable that the creators are taking their time to prepare for the next stage of Suho’s journey, given the global popularity the series has gained following the second season of the anime. The authors’ health is also reportedly a concern, so fans hope they take the necessary break and prioritize their well-being. As one Reddit user puts it, “I just hope everyone working on it is doing alright,” and that they are willing to wait as long as the next season lives up to its promise of quality.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Concluded The First Season On A Cliffhanger

We Finally Got A Glimpse Of ‘The Dancer’

In the recent installment of Solo Leveling Ragnarök, Beru and their comrades were growing concerned as Suho had been missing for twenty-one days. They pondered if something unfortunate might have befallen the boy. However, much to everyone’s relief, Suho makes his long-awaited return following the completion of his Advancement Quest, and, just as anticipated, he comes back stronger than ever. As soon as he sets foot in their presence, Suho becomes aware that a massive Gate has emerged as a threat to our world, one which Tiel had been controlling, resulting in the demise of several low-ranked Hunters. However, Tiel is caught off guard by the unexpected return of Sung Suho, sensing a significant enhancement in his powers. Not only was Tiel taken aback by this revelation, but Beru too was left astonished by Suho’s White Shadow Irregular Class Skill. Intriguingly, this talent enables Suho to convert a shadow into an object, a skill that not even the Shadow Monarch has displayed.

As events unfolded, Thomas Andre was engaged in battle against Rio Singh and fellow members of the Asura Guild in India, driven by his desire to avenge his team that had been defeated earlier by Suho, the Young Monarch. The chapter brimmed with intriguing occurrences, but none more surprising than Cha Hae-In’s return. In the closing scenes of the chapter, a figure emerges in an icy expanse. Although her face remains hidden, it is clear that Cha Hae-In has returned to the mortal realm. Readers have long anticipated learning about Cha Hae-In’s whereabouts and her reunion with Sung Suho, and finally, we catch a glimpse of the Dancer.

Unfortunately, there will be quite some time until we get to witness that reunion. The creators have certainly managed to stir up excitement within the community by ending the first season of their manhwa series in a suspenseful manner, leaving us hanging. Now, all we can do is wait for an official update about the series resuming with Season 2.
