Summary
- Ready Or Not has an active modding community creating new maps for the game beyond official expansions.
- Newly added community maps like Kabul Compound offer unique settings and challenges like neutralizing threats in Afghanistan.
- Maps created by modders, such as A Florida Man, feature engaging storylines and scenarios for players to experience.
So far, Ready Or Not has been expanded with two updates, each bringing in three new maps to play on. But here’s the catch: gamers don’t always have to rely on content provided by the developers alone, as there is an energetic modding community consistently releasing a range of additional game material for players to enjoy.
As a gamer diving into the world of modding for Ready Or Not, I can tell you that crafting maps isn’t as straightforward as tweaking weapons or armor pieces. However, the dedicated modding community has already poured countless hours into designing fresh maps. These creations range from remakes of our game’s Early Access maps, taking inspiration from classics like SWAT and Rainbow Six, to entirely original concepts born from their creative minds.
7. Kabul Compound
A Trip To The Middle East

Among the maps listed, only ‘Kabul Compound’ is located outside the U.S. It may not be a mission for a SWAT team, but it shares the same basic principles and goals as other maps, just on a more condensed playfield.
Unfortunately, the map’s descriptions don’t offer much context for a backstory, but the team must eliminate any dangers within a compact structure located in Afghanistan, thought to be the hideout of a violent extremist group.
6. Apartment Of Horrors
A Cemetery Of Dreams

In this scenario, we’re discussing “House of Terror,” a relatively modest yet densely packed layout. Here, law enforcement officers prepare themselves for gruesome sights. This map takes the form of a multistory residence that gets stormed by SWAT teams in the dead of night. It is believed that this house serves as a base for human traffickers who are suspected of causing the disappearances of numerous individuals.
The ambiance in the Apartments of Horrors is truly compelling. Even though experienced players of Ready Or Not might find it less challenging to navigate this map, it’s one that can emotionally overwhelm a player. This is because it portrays how people are lured with the promise of their dream life.
5. Private Airport
A Support Operation To Rescue Fellow Officers
- Download Link
In essence, a Private Airport serves as an updated reenactment of both Operation Falcon Hour and Operation Talon Steel from the game Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. After a botched effort to apprehend a drug cartel, some operators meet their demise, while others find themselves captive within a privately owned airfield.
The team’s backup force lands on the scene as reinforcements, with their objective being to take out all the suspects and rescue the hostages before they are killed by the cartel members. The map, named Private Airport, is quite large, and the creators have skillfully employed high-resolution textures while aiming to preserve its original inspiration.
4. Downtown 22nd Street
Investigating An Assault At A Subway Station
- Download Link
In contrast to typical official and community maps for the game Ready or Not, which are primarily set indoors, this map transports players into the labyrinthine environment of an underground subway station. The mission commences in the city’s downtown district, where the team is seen exploring backstreets and a subterranean subway station.
This map design has the capability to serve as a prototype for an official VOID Interactive map, given its potential to spark inspiration. Particularly busy spots like subway stations seem tailor-made for scenarios similar to “Ready or Not,” where the plot involves hijacked trains, leading players into thrilling combat within the train carriages.
3. Shattered Nerve
When A Veteran Sniper Turns Rogue
- Download Link
The revised Twisted Nerve map is called Shattered Nerve, and it’s set during daylight hours. In this scenario, the suspect escapes into a two-story house, which initially appears routine for the SWAT team. However, they soon discover that the fugitive is a skilled sniper from the Global War on Terror, and he’s actively engaging them with gunfire.
The task at hand proves challenging due to the complications in reaching the building by our units. Instead, the player must position themselves at a distance and find an entry point among several options to gain access. However, the structure houses numerous rooms and concealed areas that need to be methodically searched and cleared out.
2. A Florida Man
An Intense Hostage Situation
- Download Link
A Florida Man refers to a humorous term for local news headlines in Florida. Here’s one such story: After a string of burglaries in a neighborhood, intruders break into a house and hold an elderly man captive. As 911 tries to resolve the issue through negotiations, the discussions fall through, and the captors threaten to harm the hostage.
In this situation, it’s time for the SWAT team to take action. Their mission is to save a hostage who served during the Korean War and happens to be the only one present. The scene includes a compact house and a parked trailer in the backyard, both requiring thorough examination.
This map has an added advantage – it includes an additional storyline set approximately a year following the hostage crisis, which is a covert nighttime mission.
1. Lustful Remorse
Raiding The House Of Evil
- Download Link
In the early stages of its release, the modding community from “Ready or Not” unveiled a map titled “Lustful Remorse.” This map suggested a hidden criminal lair, presumably a pub, where a SWAT team was deployed to infiltrate. The operation aimed to rescue up to eight individuals who had gone missing and were believed to be held captive by the suspected gang.
The structure of this map is simply exceptional, offering an almost identical level of quality as the official maps found in “Ready or Not.” Its intricate design features cleverly scattered enemies that make achieving a perfect score while clearing the map a real challenge.
