Summary

  • MLB The Show 25 received a recent update enhancing gameplay mechanics and fixing bugs for a better player experience.
  • Diamond Dynasty sees upgrades like improved rewards and removal of repeated moments, enhancing the overall gameplay.

In April 2025, the most recent installment of the long-lasting baseball series, MLB The Show 25, has rolled out a new update. This patch for MLB The Show 25 aims to enhance the gaming experience by resolving issues, introducing user-friendly improvements, and tweaking gameplay mechanics.

In March, MLB The Show 25 made its debut, marking the 20th installment of the popular series and a notable advancement for the franchise. For the first time ever, multiple Major League Baseball stars grace the cover, and San Diego Studio continues to provide the authentic, high-quality baseball experience fans have come to expect. Additionally, MLB The Show 25 expanded its Road to the Show mode, allowing players to begin their journey in high school, offering a more immersive pathway toward the Majors.

In an effort to make gameplay even more enjoyable in MLB The Show 25, the development team has rolled out Update 7. This update introduces the 2025 San Francisco Giants City Connect uniforms, among other overall enhancements. They’ve rectified issues such as items displaying as locked or unlocked improperly, and they’ve tackled a framerate decrease related to players with dreadlocks on the field. Furthermore, hair physics have been upgraded for Xbox Series S users.

Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty Gets Polished

In my excitement as a fan, I’d like to share some fantastic updates coming our way! For Road to the Show, during the post-season, your regular season stats will no longer appear, making the playoffs more about performance under pressure. Plus, trades won’t accidentally bump players from AA to AAA anymore, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. The update also addresses a freeze in opening scenes and prevents the game from freezing when a second controller is connected in the menus.

Switching gears to MLB The Show 25‘s Diamond Dynasty, the Diamond Quest is getting some serious love! Repeated moments are being phased out, screen flickering issues are being addressed, and perk rewards are changing so you won’t receive duplicate perks in the same rarity tier anymore. Excitingly, players can now earn PXP and Peanuts from Mini Bosses, and treasure rewards are now more focused on stadium challenges first!

In the new update for MLB The Show 25, they’ve fine-tuned gameplay mechanics with adjustments that are clearly noticeable by gamers. For instance, the Perfect Accuracy Region ensures perfect pitches stay precisely where they’re thrown, adhering to their intended target area. Moreover, substitution screens no longer go blank after a pitcher swap, and custom PCI Anchor settings remain saved upon game startup. Additionally, catchers will no longer freeze in block animations during bunts, and intentional walks won’t affect the pitch clock. Furthermore, this update addresses audio issues and enhances presentation aspects such as crowd reactions following the National Anthem. All these changes aim to create a more enjoyable gaming experience for players overall.
