As a dedicated gamer, I’ve found myself hooked on this fresh crime simulator game titled “Schedule 1.”

Shortly after its early access launch, it was announced that the publisher of “Drug Deal Simulator,” Movie Games S.A., is investigating “Schedule 1” for potential copyright infringement. They claim that TVGS may have incorporated elements from “Drug Deal Simulator,” including plot points, mechanics, and user interface. However, despite this ongoing investigation, the solo developer behind “Schedule 1” continues to roll out new content updates.

Schedule 1 Developer Working on Steam Deck Verification

On April 10th, TVGS introduced a fresh update for the game Schedule 1. This latest version brought in an abundance of new content for the popular indie game, such as new decorations, the option to sell items at the Pawn Shop, and lots more. Towards the end of the v0.3.4 patch notes, the developer announced that he was focusing on enhancing the game’s performance and expressed a desire to get Steam Deck officially supported. The timeframe for this is not specified yet, but the developer hopes that Schedule 1 can be verified by Steam Deck as soon as feasible. At present, the game is tagged as “playable” on Valve’s handheld device, however there are several text and controller problems that are hindering it from being officially verified.

Despite Schedule 1 not officially being compatible with the Steam Deck at this time, many gamers are successfully playing the game on it, enjoying smooth performance. Since Schedule 1 is not heavily reliant on graphics, the lower specs of the Steam Deck seem to handle it comfortably at around 40-60 frames per second when adjusted properly. However, since Schedule 1 does not have native controller support, players must manually configure the controls using the Steam Deck’s built-in settings. TVGS has mentioned plans to optimize Schedule 1 for better Steam Deck performance, but it remains uncertain whether official controller support will be added in a future update.

Even though Schedule 1 was developed by a solo creator, it has been an enormous success on Steam ever since its early access debut on March 24. In just a few days following its release, it surpassed all expectations with over 130,000 simultaneous players. And then, on April 6, Schedule 1 experienced even greater popularity, attracting over 459,000 concurrent players, placing it among the top-played games on Steam. To this day, fans are raving about the game, with more than 92,000 reviews, and Schedule 1 holds an impressive “overwhelmingly positive” rating on the platform.
