The joy of playing strategic Barbie remains fresh when you receive fresh outfits and accessories to engage with. Luckily for avid action game enthusiasts, they’ve been blessed with not just one, but two significant announcements this very week.
Arena. This means that cosmetic items earned in the Arena game can eventually be used in the main game, implying that characters like Hatsune Miku could soon be raiding locations such as Shoreline’s Resort.
Without falling behind, the open-world survival shooter, Gray Zone Warfare, has unveiled a list of upcoming weapons for its patch 0.3, known as ‘Winds of War’.
Gray Zone Warfare New Weapons List
First things first, let’s tackle the main point right away. After a year of making players choose between range or rate of fire (unless they stumbled upon an AK-308), Gray Zone Warfare is introducing its initial semi-automatic marksman rifle.
In update version 0.3, the standout feature is undeniably the Dragunov sniper rifle, also known as the SVD. This firearm chambered for 7.62x54mmR made its debut in Soviet service back in 1963 and has since garnered a devoted following among marksman enthusiasts.
The compact, carbine variant of the traditional Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle will be offered, forfeiting the option to attach a PU scope.
Following a year on display at Gunny’s store, the Glock 17 will now be secured at more advanced security levels. In its stead, the esteemed Beretta M9A1 has been introduced, offering reduced customization options but featuring a built-in flashlight mount beneath the barrel.
As a firearms enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve got a new addition to our arsenal – the Colt Commando. It’s a sleeker, more versatile take on the classic M1911 pistol, firing in the powerful .45 ACP caliber.
With patch 0.3 dropping soon, I’m psyched to get my hands on the SIG MCX! Known for its exceptional modularity and rapid-fire capabilities, this bad boy is also going to bring the .300 Blackout ammo into the game. It might be the only assault rifle in the update, but its quality sure makes up for it!
Just as in the real world, you’ll find that .300 Blackout rounds are generally more costly than those of the 5.56x45mm NATO. The developers have hinted at a future update where you can switch calibers by replacing the barrel, but this feature won’t be available in version 0.3.
Lastly, yet by no means insignificantly, we’re introducing a new submachine gun to the game, joining the ranks of the vz.61 Skorpion and the H&K MP5.
The Heckler & Koch MP7, fired with a 4.6x30mm round, is occasionally referred to as a “needle gun.” However, it offers enhanced armor penetration compared to the MP5’s 9x19mm, and delivers roughly equivalent tissue damage due to its erratic performance.
It’s anticipated that the update for Gray Zone Warfare, titled Winds of War, will be released prior to June 2025, but a specific launch date has yet to be announced.
