In the game ‘Blue Prince’, Room 46 isn’t the sole secret to uncover. There are numerous puzzles scattered throughout the game that don’t directly contribute to your primary goal. Solving these puzzles yields rewards, making it worthwhile to explore thoroughly. Beyond the Manor, there are many intriguing elements waiting to be discovered as well. One detail you might spot early on is a set of stairs outside the main door, leading down to a small balcony with attached pipes. These pipes can emit blue flames under certain circumstances, and here’s how you can trigger them:

How to Activate All Blue Flames in Blue Prince

To ignite all four blue flames, you’ll have to locate and trigger four distinct gas switches. These switches aren’t within the manor itself, but by exploring Mount Holly Manor, you can access them. The switches for the blue flames are situated in the Apple Orchard, Gemstone Cavern, the Hovel, and the Schoolhouse.

Any blue flames you have activated stay lit, even when you start a new day.

Apple Orchard

As a gamer, I’d say: “Head out to the tent’s vicinity, where there’s an apple orchard waiting. To get in, I need to crack the code on the gate’s combination lock first. To find that elusive code, I should use my magnifying glass on the picture in the Dark Room – just make sure the lights are on before I do. I can turn them on by flipping the switch in the Utility Closet. Once I’ve found the date on a tree (it’s 11/28), I’ll input that sequence, 1128, into the lock and step into the orchard. On the left side of this lush area, there’s a pipe with a switch on it – keep an eye out for that!

Gemstone Cavern

Just beyond the manor, close to your campsite by the Apple Orchard, you’ll discover an enigmatic mechanical door that remains closed. Within lies the Gemstone Cavern, and the second switch can be found there. To access the Gemstone Cavern, seek out the Utility Closet first. Inside this closet, you’ll find a control panel with buttons beneath a V.A.C. Indicator label. Manipulate these buttons in this sequence: off, blue, green, white, red, purple. This sequence will activate the wall, causing it to rise and reveal a large lever. Pulling this lever unlocks the Gemstone Cavern. Upon entry, you’ll find the second switch promptly on your right side within the Gemstone Cavern.

Hovel

The third and fourth fires can only be accessed in spaces that are specifically designed for drafts within the Outer Room area, encompassing places like the Hovel and Schoolyard. To gain access to this Outer Room area, you’ll need to discover two specific rooms within the manor first: the Utility Closet and the Garage. In the Utility Closet, toggle the circuit breaker to “On” for the Garage. This action enables you to open the garage door and step outside.

As a gamer, I’d say: Step outside to find the entrance for the Outer Room. The Hovel could be one of the areas I might explore. Upon entering the Hovel, you’ll notice the switch for the third blue flame is located on the wall near the stove.

When you’re outdoors, be sure to walk towards the western entrance and unlock it. Leaving it unlocked means you won’t need to search for the Garage later on. Instead, you’ll have direct access to the Outer Room once you’ve finished your tasks.

Schoolhouse

Similar to the Hovel, the Schoolhouse is among the spaces that can be designed within the Outer Room. In case neither is accessible at this moment, you’ll have another opportunity during a subsequent try. Once the Schoolhouse becomes available, the fourth switch will be found on the heater situated centrally in the room.

What Happens When You Activate All Four Blue Flames in Blue Prince?

Once all four blue torches are lit, a lift will materialize. Similar to other elements beyond the manor, this lift does not revert back to its original state. This lift descends to a fresh location where you’ll encounter the Chess riddle.
