The design of each room can influence its layout, leading to new items or aspects being added – for instance, arranging the Tunnel in a specific manner will cause it to produce the puzzle box.

To make the Tunnel puzzle box appear, you need to initially unlock the design of the tunnel and include it in your planning deck. After that, follow this guide to discover where the hidden Tunnel puzzle box is located and learn how to solve the intricate Blue Prince puzzle using a simplified, sequential procedure.

Where Is The Tunnel Puzzle Box?

The hidden Tunnel riddle can be discovered at the terminus of a chamber that leads to a cul-de-sac within the tunnel system. Access to this tunnel layout becomes possible once you’ve illuminated the pair of torches concealed in the obstructed section beneath the main Estate entrance. Exit through the front door, then navigate down the white staircase on your left. Remember, a Burning Glass is essential for lighting these torches.

To discover the blueprint for the hidden tunnel, you’ll find it on a crate at the end of this obstructed passageway. However, this can only happen if at least one of the torches in the vicinity is ignited. Once you’ve retrieved the secret layout, make your way back into the Manor (or start a fresh day).

Interestingly, we stumbled upon this secret Tunnel puzzle by arranging three consecutive Tunnels in a row that point towards the upper-left corner on the 9×5 grid representing the house layout.

How To Solve The Tunnel Puzzle Box

Secret Tunnel Puzzle Box Solution

At the terminus of the tunnel, you’ll encounter a compact mystery container, bearing a resemblance to the one found in the Trading Post. However, keep in mind that each of these containers has its own unique solution, necessitating a subtly distinct strategy for unlocking them.

Each Blue Prince puzzle box challenges players to position a specific-colored square at every corner of the 3×3 grid. Once you’ve matched each corner with its corresponding color, click on the heart symbols that point towards each corner to secure it in place. Secure all four corners to unlock and reveal a hidden puzzle box.

In this case, you must move the orange tiles into each of the four corners.

  • If you click purple tiles, the surrounding purple tiles will rotate.
  • You can click orange tiles that are in between purple tiles to turn them purple.
  • Clicking the orange tiles does nothing except in the above case
  • Clicking the Black tile will move the whole row to the right. Anything in the right column will loop around to the left column.

To unlock the secret Tunnel puzzle box as a Blue Prince player, you should aim to arrange the black square and four purple tiles in the shape of a cross in the center of the board with one orange tile at each corner. While there might be quicker methods to solve this puzzle, here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Start by positioning the black square in the center of the board.
2. Place the four purple tiles so they surround the black square, creating a square shape around it.
3. Next, carefully move the purple tiles to form a cross shape with the black square at its center.
4. Finally, place one orange tile on each corner of the cross.
5. Once you’ve completed these steps, the Tunnel puzzle box will open!

In case you err, simply click on any corner symbol (where there’s no orange tile present) to restart the Secret Tunnel puzzle. This action will return the game board to its original layout and setup.

Blue Prince Tunnel Puzzle Rewards

Just as all puzzle boxes in “Blue Prince,” the Tunnel Puzzle grants you an Allowance Token. This token is a lasting improvement, providing Simon with a daily starting sum of Gold, which appears as a new letter on the table near the entrance.

Solving the hidden Tunnel riddle grants you an additional 2 units of Allowance, but please note that this increase won’t be immediate. Unfortunately, once you’ve solved the Tunnel puzzle within a game, you can’t re-enter to collect any extra Gold on the same day.
