Respawn and Bit Reactor have officially unveiled the long-awaited turn-based strategy game titled “Star Wars Zero Company,” which they initially announced in 2022.
Many possibilities exist for a real-time strategy game based on Star Wars, and fans are eagerly discussing what the collaboration between Respawn and Bit Reactor might entail. For those unaware, Bit Reactor was established in 2022 by former members of Firaxis Games who were instrumental in creating popular strategy games such as Civilization and XCOM. Given Respawn’s success with the two Star Wars Jedi games and this impressive background, there is much anticipation for their upcoming Star Wars title. Now, gamers finally have an official name for the duo’s new Star Wars project.
According to the official EA website, it’s been confirmed that the turn-based Star Wars game developed by Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor is titled “Star Wars: Zero Company.” Previously, this name had only been speculated, but now it’s officially confirmed. Alongside the title, EA has also unveiled promotional art for the game, showcasing its main characters. These characters appear to include a Tognath Jedi wielding a lightsaber, a former Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian, a red-and-silver R5 astromech droid, an individual in some form of hazardous material suit, and another enigmatic figure carrying a hologram of a BD-1 Battle Droid.
Star Wars Zero Company Confirmed

Details about the Star Wars Zero Company are set to be unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration happening in Japan on April 19, according to Gemastu’s report. The development team behind this project, Bit Reactor, will take the stage from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM JST (3:30 AM to 4:30 AM EDT, 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM PDT). Gaming journalist Lucy James will be the emcee for this presentation alongside representatives from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games.
Earlier leaks about the upcoming “Star Wars Zero Company” game hinted at Mandalorians being featured and part of the action taking place in a mining settlement in the Ring of Kafrene, as seen in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” It was also suggested that the gameplay would resemble the “XCOM” series, with an isometric perspective and a main hub world where players can enhance and personalize their troops. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out if these rumors are accurate, as Star Wars Celebration is happening in Japan this weekend.
